Your last two paragraphs are, sadly, accurately observed.:(
Well said, Tangmere. I heartliy endorse those words.
I think Peter Kay has been mentioned in some earlier posts and has had a bit of a kicking from some of us, less for the sitcoms, more for the stand-up. Watched Father ted once and that was it. Dreadful.

‘Madagascar’ with Sir David Attenborough last night – now that is why I’m happy to pay a licence fee for!:)
Not splitting hairs, but it was not an Attenborough documentary as such, he was simply narrating the film, wasn’t he? Not that that takes anything from the quality of the film.

I won’t be at the demo, but my sympathies are with the demonstrators. Dresden was wrong, utterly wrong and even Churchill thought it was wrong. The war was won, there was no need at all for the raid. This isn’t to say that the rest of the bombing campaign was wrong, far from it; but Dresden was a terrible mistake.

Maybe so maybe not but for heaven’s sake it was over 60 years ago and to continue fighting “old battles” is an unproductive and fruitless excercise from which no one gains. Let this rabble have their day and then forget about them.
These people are an irrelevance and whatever their beliefs, have a right of free speech, within the legal criteria. The media, and everyone else, should ignore them – there is nothing more effective than starvation of the oxygen of publicity.
Fingers crossed for you – I’ll be there in spirit!!:)

Well it certainly reveals a lot about him……:(

Now it just needs the Mozzie to fly and be confirmed!!;)
Indeed, but Ryanair also predicted a mass of full-service and competing low-fare airline failures in Europe, of which there have actually been relatively few with the exception of SkyEurope and a few fairly irrelevent non-airlines such as Air Comet, FlyGlobespan, XL, Viking etc. Don’t some of Ryanair’s aircraft still say “Bye Bye Baby” / “Arrividechi Alitalia” and the like on the side of them – as much wishful thinking on their part as the demise of Ryanair is on mine maybe?? 😉
Andy
Ha! Maybe it is:) or perhaps just “aggressive marketing” in their style.
Confirmed!!
