I cannot contribute any pictures but I like the theme of the thread and hope we might see some interesting pictures. Concorde’s arrival at East Fortune must have been an occasion!
That seems to me to be a good comparison. The materials are different, of course, but we remember how long it took for the Mary Rose to be brought to a displayable condition. And I suppose it would have more effect if ultimately it was the centre of a specific display within the RAFM.

Reading some of the contradictory and speculative posts on one or two of the Historic threads!!:(

” if it’s the little arsewipes from next door…..”
…..If my neighbours do have a problem with my cat……..”
If and buts there, Daz.
I hope I am objective because I have lived with cats for about half my life but no longer do so. My brother has cats, my parents had cats and my son has a cat, so I speak from a great deal of experience. And I am well aware that other peoples’ cats in your garden can be a pest and a nuisance. Dogs do not stray but cats stake out their territory and if a neighbour’s garden is part of the territory they will take it as their own. If you do not like cats it can be infuriating.
Perhaps you should make sure your cat cannot get into their garden. It can be done. We had to!;):)

Possibly, but ADM 53 series at the National Archive should have the logs up to during and after WW2.
