I enjoyed some “expert” berk on the news saying yesterday that there were 8 votes “in the bag” so only 4 more to get, I think. Seems England only got one other besides their own. Brilliant.:diablo:

In a world where courtesy, good manners, generosity of spirit and selflessness are at a premium those small acts of kindness really do stand out – and make a difference.

Thinking about what you did – that really is quite peverse. The ad did its job but you were annoyed enough that it did, to buy a competitor’s product……..;)

It may be a risk if the film is made and then fails, if there is no attempt to make a film and the money people have bought shares with disappears along with the organiser, I would call it something else. To my certain knowledge there is also plenty of money owed which has nothing to do with the film !

From that point of view, yes, you are right. But not knowing the circumstances of the case I was merely making the point that investing in a film, or simply the pre-production costs of a projected film, when there is no certainty of a camera turning, let alone a distribution deal, is a very large risk indeed.

No smiles here since 26th November.:( But now it has snowed a lot and the big bonus is schools closed, presumably in case little Jimmy slips over and grazes his knee, so the curse of the 4×4 school run is banished – for a couple of days at least.:D

I believe there used to be a replica – perhaps still is – at the Science Museum.

It is not surprising and unfortunately it is a very high risk business.:(
