Glad to see this recovered. Seems strange that the locals seemed to know it was there all this time. I suppose they didn´t know the pilot was still in it.

I believe that McQueen was forever arguing with producers of his films about the amount of stunt work he wanted to do ( all of it) and the amount the insurers would countenance.

Interesting. For the uninitiated, once a tool has been made for a Spit component, let’s say, can that tool then be used in subsequent restorations? I presume that, although there were many variations, there was still a large amount of commonality in the basic aircraft.

I buy a new poppy every year and wear it for about a week prior to the 11th. What other people do and why is of absolutely no interest to me whatsoever and the inference people draw from the wearing or non-wearing or the period of wearing is also of no interest to me, nor should it concern anyone else.
