He is due to be playing here in the UK in 2010. I had the pleasure of meeting Peter on a number of occasions in my youth.

Hey…now you are talking Anna !! it was such a shame what happened to him – he had real style.

AS I posted earlier some of his playing was sublime. There was an excellent and rather moving portrait of him on BBC4 a few weeks ago – might still be on iPlayer. He’s still around after his long years in and out on mental institutions though less of hair and more of body still as interesting and enigmatic as eve. I saw him at his prime and will never forget his “touch”.

Definitely one of the best.
