Hei TJ,
Check out the notice at http://www.transatlanticflightpby.com
Me too love Cats 🙂
Cheers, Daniel
Hi
No B-17 Flying Fortress ?
The Fw190 this is to fly ?
Whats Tomelissa ?
Can ‘Tumelissa’ be the Tummelisa – the Swedish WWI era replica of Mikael Carlson? Seems like an odd little bird among all the WWII planes.
Consul, take a look here: http://www.f16.parsimony.net/forum28824/messages/28059.htm
(Filip is the son of Bertil Gerhardt, the pilot)
I wouldn’t hope too much for an appearance at FL, at least not this year. Biltema’s business is in Scandinavia so this is primarily where the Mustang will be displayed. Furthermore it can’t carry drop tanks in the current mode so longer flights will require a lot of logistics. I would hope more for the Spitfire if I were you… 😉
Enjoy, first air-to-air over Sweden.

Very nice, Lima N! I’ll bring out my camera 🙂
Ben, info taken from the Aeroseum web:
“Spring-roll-out” for vintage aircraft and helicopters at Aeroseum. Follow the take-off and landings of Piper Cub, Götaverken GV-38, Stinson Voyager and the Russian helicopter Mil Mi-2, etc
Sightseeing flights – see Gothenburg from above in a sports aircraft or helicopter!
Demonstration of Police, Ambulance- and Rescue helicopter
International meeting for Saab Safir/SK 50
Demonstration of EAA Biplane and autogyro Humlan
“Haglind Group” formation of Avions Robin
Engine start of the newly restored Sk 16 (that’s Swedish for Harvard/Texan)
The Airport Fire Brigade demontrates rescue op.
Ballooning and skydiving
Presentation of the Coast Guard Flight (prel.)
Svensk Pilotutbilning flying school information
It’s really, really neat. And actually there’s a 1960s’ Saab too… 😉
Nice to read on the website that spare parts are on their way. Can’t wait to see a Starfighter over Scandinavia! 😎
Btw, when I visited Kjeller quite a few years ago they were building a beautiful Farman replica. Is it flying now?

Fantastic news!
If you wish to fly more of your aircraft to Sweden… well… we have plenty of underground hangar space here in Gothenburg. 😉
The work finished today. Now she’s all put together again – minus the engine. An old afterburner were fitted so her looks wouldn’t be ruined.

Peter, are there wings, fins, undercarriages ect for the Sabres?
Dried yet? 😉
I visited Aviodrome earlier this year and was very impressed. My thought was, where do they get the money… It must be state funded?

The story is that the GV-38 is an exact copy – with the inch measures on the blueprints transformed to the closest upper metric value… Consequently it is more robust – and heavier – than the original Sportster.
There is a short history of the GV-38 at http://www.gvfs.se > Flygplanen > GV-38 > Historiken
It’s in Swedish – in the mood for some translation, Papa Lima? 🙂
