Is this what you are thinking of Daz?:

Almost too ridiculous to believe… Below is transcript taken from the
Unseen on TV Video clip. Innuendo all the way….

The sketch opens with Zippy peeling a banana…

Zippy: “One skin, two skin, three skin, four…. “

    George: “Zippy, where is Bungle?”

Zippy: “I think Geoffrey is trying to get him up”

We see a view of the door and hear Bungle moaning from behind it.

Bungle: “Geoffrey, I can’t get it in”

Geoffrey: “You managed it last night”

Bungle: “I know, let’s try it round the other way around. Ooooooh, I’ve got it in”

Bungle and Geoffrey enter the studio with Bungle carrying a hammer and peg kit

Bungle: “Would you stick this on the shelf, George”

George: “I can’t reach, you’ll have to stick it up yourself,

Geoffrey (to camera) ” Hello everyone, today we are talking about playing”

Bungle: “Playing with each other, Geoffrey?”

Geoffrey: “Yes Bungle, do you have a special friend that you like to play with?”

George: “Yesterday we played with our balls.

Are we going to play with our friend’s balls today?”

Bungle: “Yes, and we can play with our twangers as well.”

Geoffrey (to camera): Have you seen Bungles twanger?

Zippy: “Oh I have, I showed him how to pluck with it.”

    Bungle: “It’s my plucking instrument.”

Geoffrey asks the audience if they can pluck like Bungle

Zippy: “I can, I’m the best plucker here.”

George: “And I’m good at banging. My peg’s hard isn’t it Zippy?”

Zippy: “Well of course it is, Your peg wouldn’t go in if it was soft.”

Geoffrey: “Let’s get back to Bungle’s twanger.”

Bungle (excited): “Oooooh Geoffrey, we could all paint our twangers couldn’t we?”

George: “Let’s sing that plucking song.”

Bungle: “Rod and Roger can get their instruments out and Jane has got two lovely Maracas.”

Singers Rod, Roger and Jane enter.

Rod: “We could hear you all banging away.”

    Roger: “Banging can be fun.”

Jane: “Ooooh yes, and I was banging away all last night with Rod and Roger.”

Roger (looking sad): “Yes, but it broke my plucking instrument.”

Geoffrey: “Never mind Roger, let sing the plucking song, come on

    everybody get your instruments out.”

Rod (to Jane): “Do you want to blow on my pipe while I’m twanging away?”

Jane: “Oh no Rod, I was blowing a lot with Roger last night. But would you

like to play with my maracas?”

Zippy: “No, let’s just pluck away with our twangers.”

Bungle: “Yes, it doesn’t matter what size your twanger is.”

Zippy: “I’ve got a big red one.”

George: “I’ve only got a tiny twanger. But it works well and I like to play with it.”

Geoffrey (to viewers): “Well, have you got your twangers out? And remember,

you can bounce your balls at the same time. If you haven’t got any balls,

ask a friend if you can play with his. Now, let’s all sing the plucking song.”

Everyone in studio: “Pluck, pluck, pluck away, we’re going to pluck all day today.”

“Pluck, pluck, pluck away, we’re going to pluck all day.”

Geoffrey (to viewers): ” It’s time for us all to go now, but don’t forget ….

to get your twangers out and play with your balls.” “See you soon. Bye.”

And if anyone finds the above offensive, then you had better ask yourself why…

michelf…thanks for that…I hadn’t realised that there was quite so much room with the glass doors open. Although technically the entire glass panel can be removed at the front, I don’t think it is something the IWM will be doing every five minutes!

Cor blimey! I mean, really, does it matter that much what the educational/promotional value of a GRP replica is, when people can go through the gates and see THE REAL THING in the hangars??

People will see it, doing whatever it is the IWM has in store for it, think to themselves “what’s at this place then?” and they will go and see REAL, FLYING representations instead! Surely the money gained from that is worth more than the criticism put forward here?

    Come on, folks!

Better sit down Daz, we agree on something 😀

Promotional item taken out on road = potential to encourage people to visit Duxford = may lead to an interest in aviation and military history for some. Is that such a bad thing?

    No further comment from me.

To answer your question Ross, very difficult. A lack of large aircraft sized doors is a problem, and even dismantled you would struggle to get an aircraft out of the AAM as it stands at the moment.

We are just going round in circles here.

Enough. No fingers pointed but thread is now locked.

    Good night everyone.

For goodness sake…there are a number of people who are happy members of both the Keypublishing forums and PlaneTalk, can we not just let sleeping dogs lie?

Don Clark…I was not aware that alerting moderators to a problem resulted in fresh tantrums. Please feel free to make contact with me to discuss this if you wish to.

Right…having read through the thread again from start to finish, I would like to make the following point. I believe Damien’s comment about rape was intended to give an example of someone trying to candy coat what they are saying and make it excuseable- For example – saying to someone “you are a really nice person but you make John Prescott look like Brad Pitt”.

On the subject of Vulcans and XH558 I don’t have a great deal of knowledge so silence from me on that subject is probably best.

On the subject of trading insults and making accusations, I would like to remind you all that such behaviour is not wanted here. It does the poster and the forums no favours.

As Moggy has decided to keep the thread open I will go along with that for now, but please keep to discussing Vulcans without the nastiness, thank you.

I think not. Only good thing about the film is the Faith Hill song ‘There You’ll Be’ – one of the songs played at our wedding – wanted a song with an aviation theme/link, and that was what we settled for. My husband’s family nearly had a fit at my suggestion of entering to the Dambusters March…

Anyway, The Apprentice is on at 9pm, my last chance for a sugar fix :diablo:

Right, thread opened following some pruning of posts.

Can I refer all forumites to the wise words of Mr Kev35 in one of his posts in this thread:

“Theft is an emotive, provocative and inappropriate word. Unless of course those accusing people of theft are happy to defend their point of view in a Court of Law?… Would you be prepared to defend your contention that ‘theft’ is taking place? I suspect not. What is happening to the airliners is, for most of us, indefensible, regardless of blame. But you have to choose your words carefully….”

To put it simply – allegations of theft without supporting evidence will not be tolerated here at Keypublishing, as one former prolific well known member found out to his cost a few months back.

By all means discuss the fate of the airliners, but please refrain from posting unfounded allegations here – that is all accusations of theft are until proved with hard evidence of some form or other (although I am sure Mr TexanTomcat would be happy to fill you in on the legal ins and outs of such situations).

Those of you whose posts have been pruned in relation to the posts which required moderation, I apologise. Pruning was necessary in order for the flow of the thread to make sense.

Any queries with the moderation of this thread, please bring to the attention of the webmaster, thank you.

Fluffy…a very big thank you to your friend from me…that site has provided the missing piece of the jigsaw for a collection I am currently cataloguing at work…I was after the early history of Lancaster EE193…I knew it was lost off the coast of Denmark in August ’44 with 550 Squadron, but I have reels and reels of footage of it following an apparent undercarriage failure on return to base from a mission prior to that, with no indication of date (other than the summer of 1943 according to my calculations). Your friend’s information has confirmed my theory and filled in the gaps, thank you! 🙂

Edit: I will contact your friend properly with further details when I get back to work on Monday.
