I hated sports at school…I threw the Javeliin backwards, ran straight into the lkong jump pit (I forgot to jump), tripped over every hurdle in the hurdles, dropped the shot putt on the teacher’s foot (gott banned from sports for a whole term for that one :D), hit the other girls’ legs instead of the ball when playing hockey, and nearly brolke one girl’s nose by accident when playing netbal…
Surprisingly, one thing I could do was windsurf…was pretty good as that 🙂

P.S. Please exccuse typing, I’m not ****ed for once, it’s so cold i’,m typing with my gloveds on!
One more flying Spitfire…one more to polish 🙂
Great programme and great pictures Mark12, thank you 🙂 (Were you in one of the shots in the woods when the Stuka was being unearthed as well?)
Anna…how about Busted? I hear they’ll be in the locality today 😀 😉 :p

Thank you for sharing these Eddie 🙂
As one of those who has referred to the swapped aircraft as a Sea Harrier, I apologise. I have to admit I have not actually visited IWM North and was going on information offered by some who has (maybe they need to learn to read better…:()
Manonthefence…my above comment re visiting the Firefly probably sounds greedy given all I have on my doorstep, but I just have a great deal of affection for her 🙂

Manonethefence…I have admitted before that it is perhaps more appropriate for ‘Evelyn’ to live at Yeovilton than Duxford due to her naval background…I guess because she is one of my favourites I miss just being able to pop to the Museum and see her 🙁
No, thank you Carolyn. Working at Duxford I often see you taking to the skies in ML407 and always stop what I’m doing to watch you. Always impressive, and always awe-inspiring.

You and me both, mate 🙁 Still Duxford’s loss is FAAM’s gain I guess…
Many thanks for all the pics James and Rob, I have enjoyed looking at them. I don’t know why I have a soft spot for the Firefly – the Spitfire I do because it was the first warbird I saw displaying, the Lancaster because my grandfather trained as a “tail-end Charlie”, but the Firefly, I can’t really put my finger on it. I guess “Evelyn” just worked her charms on me the first time we met, and she made a lasting impression on behalf on her breed 🙂

In this case, reference is being made to the Red Lion pub at Whittlesford (by the station, not in the village itself) Famed for it’s large portions (especially “Moggy’s plate of roadkill” :))
Excellent pics Hatton, please do post more…as Lancman points out, the Lanc is a “night owl”, therefore night time pics of her are most fitting in my opinion 🙂
Nah…everything that goes wrong is usually my fault (so I am frequently told :D)
:p at Anna 😉
Pencil me in for the 6th too 🙂
