Thanks for the link Bigglesworth 🙂
Don’t get me wrong guys, I would love to see the Vulcan fly…I would just hate to see it all go horribly wrong (as I am sure all of us are)
Ashley
Can I just say something here? If and that’s a big IF XH558 is returned to airworthiness, who is going to fly her? Are there still pilots in the RAF with Vulcan experience? If heavens forbid a couple of pilots are trained to fly the Vulcan and something goes horribly wrong, there would be a big media fuss about “inexperienced pilots” etc etc (I am sure you can all just picture the furore)
It has been suggested that former Concorde pilots could do the job…what do you all think?

Of those that actually entered production, the Hunter (although I do have a soft spot for the Vampire)
My absolute favourite is the TSR.2.

Seafuryfan…well I think you’ve got a pretty reasonable excuse there 🙂 Congratulations…hope all goes well for you, Mrs Seafuryfan and little Seafuryfan 😀

A330 Crazy…we did too! If we ran out of tracing paper in Art classes, the teacher sent us to the toilets to grab handfuls of toilet roll as a substitute! 🙂

Hi Peter…don’t think the main wheels came off the ground but her tail wheel certainly did…this was during filming for the BBC drama ‘Night Flight’ (and NX611 was undoubtedly the best thing in it :))

I will send you it in a message

Moggy…did you happen to eat at the Gourmet Pizza Company on the South Bank? They make some excellent pizzas there, including some unusual combinations such as Chinese duck and broccoli, and Thai chicken satay pizza…yummy 🙂

~ROFLMAO~ :p
Willow…was this definitely 1976? It’s just that this morning I was checking some amateur film of Duxford Air Day 1975 and your memories certainly match what I was watching! (I’m hoping to include this film in the next get-together at Duxford – I have several films I am currently checking for their suitability for this occasion so watch this space :))

Of course. 😀As it’s after the watershed, I’ll post this one up. In our semi-leathered state, the four of us were trying to work out whether this one had gone commando for the occasion. Jury’s still out…
With apologies to Ashley and our other female members of course. 😮
It looks suspiciously like the lady in question has committed the cardinal sin of wearing black underwear (looks like a thong) under white clothing (as all fashionistas know is just not the done thing :D)
Now I have to explain to my colleagues why exactly they caught me with my nose pressed up again the screen peering at a lady’s derierre…well today could be interesting 😉

P.S. And great pics of the aircraft Steve, this way I can feel like I went to RIAT but without the traffic and sunburn 🙂
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOGGY! :p
Hope you have a wonderful birthday, complete of course with plenty of Adnams and a birthday viewing of Battle of Britain 🙂
