Any chance to get the manufacturers’ c/n of those machines?
Before, I resize some of my stuff, I would first answer that the BAF painted C-47, N49AG-C-53D-DO-c/n11737 OT-CWG based in Belgium in 1996 is now residing at paris-Orly devoid of belgian markings. She was at La Ferté Allais on May 15th together with F-AZTE.
There was also a static DC-3 or C-47 with undercarriage doors in US colour scheme, identification unknown.
Would suggest at Tamron 70-300 mm
Manfred Pflumm and not Plumpf had built a large number of replicas for museums across Germany. (Fokker DR1, Fokker E.III, Junlers J 10, Junkers Ju 87 which was displayed at Frankfurt International’s viewers terrace in 1979), Bf 109E, Ju 13 at Stuttgart)
He is located at INTERNATIONAL LUFTFAHRTMUSEUM MANFRED PFLUMM, D-78056 Villingen-Schwenningen.

Thks for the early reply.
I will post the photograph after touching up with Photoshop as half of the negative was not properly developped (not enough developper in the Paterson tank)
I will also post a photograph of the one which crash landed on a farm in final approach at Brussels airport (G-ALFD) taken by my father.
Probably a Manfred Plumpf replica
Jochen will be interested to learn that a red doped was resident at Brussels airport in the 50’s.
When I dig out the photograph, I will put it on the net
Melv,
Talking about aircrafts used in US movies, when Strategic Air Command was released in Belgium, maybe 50 years ago, there was a 52 minutes on Paul Mantz (Frank tallman was not mentioned). I wonder if someone can recall or find the name of this documentary?
There was indeed a civilian registered Vautour flown on the warbird circuit approximately ten years ago. She is grounded with hydraulics problems. Details can be found on a Yahoo forum. If someone is interested, I might dig in.
There is one Vautour preserved outside the Airbus factory at Saint-Nazaire airport in front of an SO.30P Bretagne. Can someone identify the Vautour (c/n please)
One thing, in my everlasting research of the c/n of every aircraft I ever photographed, would one of the lucky men allowed to examine 474 at close range provide the info.
Thks very much in advance
Willy
Glad to see OO-POl in red-white colour scheme. Afterwards she was sprayed in an awful camo. She is now preserved somewhere in Belgium.
Confirm David, photograph taken in Feb 1983 and not Feb 1982
In February 1982, the wing of a Chipmunk C1/0455 protruded from a pile of scrap.
Hope the Hendon one will be rebuilt the same way in a not too distant future
I don’t understand the discussion. As Oscar Duck reminded there is a flight manual telling pilots what they shouldn do. We all know that transporters were rolled without harmful consequences. In my opinion, Loss Adjuster and not pilot why aircrafts should be flown outside their normal flying enveloppe?
