Stewart, start by joining the DAS as a volunteer and help with the programme of restoration. They appear to be better organised these days as they concentrate on a handfull of project rather than having loads of people roaming about pulling aircraft to bits as had happened in the past.
Incredible to believe that people complain about aviation, I’m aware of one airfield that gets all the blame for 2 or 3 other airfields within the local area where it would seem that the owners can do exactly what they want.
Time to arm the aircraft and go on a mission I think.
