Any idea where those of us who were unable to get to Duxford at the weekend can buy a copy. Having watched the restoration reasonably closely I feel this may well be essential reading.
Only ever flown the Stearman with someone who knows what they are doing in the drivers seat.
With moving house, nasty weather and a huge amount of work being carried out on the Stearman time has just slipped by. Must be careful not to let it happen again.
Nice engine.
Would that be the early one piece cylinder head and bank and if so the only one of its type flying?
Mark
Has one piece heads and banks.
Has the Shuttleworth Merlin III ever been rebuilt?
I see Flypast has a great article about G-HUPW…. Nice engine
Spitfire over-rated?
Match this for development over the service period! 🙂

Just goes to show that they didn’t get it right in the first few attempts  😉
I am lead to believe that TT’s T6 was one of the Empire Of The Sun props, last time I saw it Aces High had it
My vote I’m afraid goes for the Spitfire, seemingly it single handedly won the air war for us. What about the poor Hurricane in all of this??????
So where’s the list then????
I had probably read Fuddy Duddy was coming but forgot about it. So it was a pleasant surprise to see it in Torrance a week ago….I only found out because it was on the newspaper on my friend’s table who lived nearby. Hadn’t seen it since 1989.

I flew into Torrance last year, great Chinese buffet just off the airfield plus an inter war biplane fighter being worked on by one of the hangers. Anyone know what the biplane was??
May take a wander over and have a look to see what’s going on then.
20th/21st August. Looks like a fly in on Saturday and Show on the Sunday.
Seeing as I live in the town now can I qualify as a NIMBY??????
It would be a great shame if it were to happen but looking at the way BSE is expanding I would have thought it was only a matter of time.

Do you still have the Vitesse??? A fantastic machine if ever I saw one. I did have a Rover V8 in my old Scimitar Coupe a while back, that was a little on the quick side.
