I’ve only just got the last bits of dust and gravel off me after the Vampire tried to grit blast myself and a visiting Mustang last time

I see that the fury has it’s propeller blades on.Do you recon it will fly in time for legends?

Propeller blades on but no wings on……

The fact that the majority of warbird pilots ARE ex-military with thousands of display hours (experience) under their belt seems to have escaped some people… THAT is what I was disagreeing with. I concur that large amounts of hours do not make a good disply pilot, but rather that large amounts of relevant hours (experience) does help.

How is 1000 hours in a Tornado (or similar) relevant to flying something like a Spitfire or Mustang? Granted they may be 1000 hour in formation, but the characteristics of modern aircraft are very different from Warbirds.

I have over the years worked with a good number of Warbird pilots, none were military trained… that didn’t make them any less safe…

The aircraft is going to a German owner, aircraft have come from Europe to display at Legends in the past so its always a possibility they will continue to do so in the future.

Nobody said there would actually be any water in the pistol… it will all be in the glorious new aquatics centre that sits next to the railway line in the East of London.

It will be interesting to see what the RAF is tasked with.

I’ll just take my bomb there by train then rather than drop it out of a very conspicuous and slow moving biplane.

Someone who’s current on a Tigercat might be ok

I would have thought the ground handling characteristics between a Tigercat and Mosquito would be very different, agreed that power would be similar but the difference between a nosewheel and tailwheel aircraft would make life interesting
