I could not possibly answer that as its me doing it – but a great deal of research has gone in to getting the detailing as close to Mk XI standard as humanly possible. The stencils are about 80% complete at the moment and its going to be a week or two before she is totally finished.

Surely those big hangars are also in the 6 mile exclusion zone. I always thought the restricted airspace was for other aircraft, I didn’t realise it extended to structures as well.

Storing them has proved to be a good decision as now there is funding to start the restoration process.

If funding in place now, the way I read the post above the museum needs to come up with 90% of the amount before the City will release the matching $800,000. Therefore if the restorers dont come up with $720,000 then the aircraft will remain where they are? Or maybe I am not reading it correctly?

I’m sure the owner of Big Beautiful Doll might be slightly alarmed if his aircraft had left our shores rather than being safely tucked up in his hangar.
