I’d guess Wattisham.
Moggy
You would???? I’d go for Earls Colne myself. Lets not get worked up over the in’s and out’s of the spinner and just see it as the magnificent machine that it is. Without a doubt the best Hurricane restoration so far. I’m sure that Peter, the guys at Hawkers and the gentleman who rebuilt the engine must be very proud.
Our friends in Holland still have one though…..
These photographs are fantastic….
Nope, that’s a different one
The boss and the wheel could be something big and American like a lodestar or similar???
Jumping Jaques?
I suspect the guy in the JP is looking the wrong way. Nice shot of the Mustangs…..
I’m told the C54’s are kept live, but other than that they are still in the same place.
Last heard of in a very dismantled state……
I think it was withdrawn a number of years ago from memory…….
Great pics Niall, did you happen to get any of the P51 as it left at the end of the show???
Many Thanks
2004 has been hectic. Changes in home and employment circumstances have had a major impact in my life. On top of this I spent a month getting my PPL and so far have 80 or so hours logged. The vintage aircraft side of things started within 3 hours of getting back from America with a flight in a Stearman, from then on there have been a number of highlights such as my first air to air with Janie, a number of great airshows such as Old Buckenham, Sywell and Woodchurch and a great weekend at Breighton in July. More recently having the chance to sit through a formation display practice with a couple of Mustangs blew me away, if I ever go home I may post a pic or two…. Other than that my introduction to the Spare Ribs at the Old Ram is simply maaaaarvelous!!!! mmmmmmm ribs, as a number of text messages have said…..
It’s been a good year I think…..
Very true…..
Typical American, no taste at all…. 😮 😀 😀 😉 :diablo:
Any idea where it came from?
That scheme sounds very like the Arnold machine, other than that I wasn’t aware that there was another Thunderbolt in the country at that time. TFC’s arrived late 85 early 86.
