It’s not just Mustangs we have 😉
Half of Saturday involves sweeping out the hanger and generally tidying. 😮
Hopefully some kind sole will have cut the runway by then as well.

Morning all, I’m slaving away in London at the moment after a crappy train journey in.

Surely all train journeys are crappy???? I’m slaving away in Wymondham of all places after a thrash down the country lanes to work.

    Y11F, why I oughta…

Well, you’ve got to do something to keep off the streets, worrying thing is this saturday will be at least a 15 hour day 😮
Good news is that depending on the weather and whether I am awake or not I will have a bit of a fly on Sunday.

Snetterton was also an 8th Airforce bomber base as was the Lotus track at Hethel.

I spend a similar amount of time on an airfield every weekend, much better than working for a living!!!

As far as I know it’s still being made, however I’ve not seen any of the new series hence why I didn’t know whether they had moved location or not. Seems that Dunsfold is ideal for such a programme.

Top Gear is (or was) filmed at Dunsfold

To be fair when I crewed at Legends mobile phones were not that popular, infact most of them were in use as chocks.

Where on earth is the P38 rumour coming from now???? The one that was closely linked with TFC last year has recently been sold again so it would be my guess that we are unlikely to see one over here in the short term.

Well I think from now on I will make a point of sitting on the aircraft after I have finished the pre flight.
Often it is easier and more convinient for the ground crew to remain with the aircraft as then the pilot doesn’t have to try to find his crew amongst 20,000 other people should they be needed for some reason.

    Hairyplane,

Was your aircraft at Old Buckenham for a while on the show day a couple of weeks ago? When I arrived I saw a Maggie close to where our Auster was parked but didn’t manage to get over in time before you started up and departed.

Guess you weren’t at Legends in 1993 then Robbo, when Mark Hanna gave a superb display in the OFMC T-33A, N33VC. I think the Golden Apple Sabre was flown at Legends one year also. These are Legends also, just like the Super Connie.

Was that Leg Ends or Classic Fighters??? One show evolved out of the other and the theme changed a little.
