I can’t imagine why anybody would want to see photographs of the remains of a fatal aircraft accident, having had to pack the remains of an earlier fatal Spitfire into a container some years ago I can tell you that it is not a pleasant experience. It certainly gives you something to think about and as Mark 12 rightly says this is not the time or the place. Needless to say I took no photographs of the wreckage I had to pack.
😀 Has James revealed the prize yet 😀 😀 Anna  😉 😀
Yes…… Come on keep up…. the prize was a car pass for 5 people to some obscure little aircraft museum in Cambridgeshire.
I reckon the great god Ebay is your best bet 😀
I fly on a regular basis, but I wouldn’t believe anything I say, however I do believe the word of an engineer responsible for fixing the problem.
….and I suspect those who work for the BBMF and who post on here also have contacts and sources and we should be grateful that they are able to give us as much information as they already do.
Stewart, I’m not getting at you, but do a forum search, there is a lot of info regarding the ‘Southend’ Spitfire and the Hurricane incident posted on the forum by a contributor by the name of Fluffy, take a look and see if it matches your contacts info.
Lets not jump to conclusions here, there are people from the BBMF who view this forum, I’m sure they can wrap this up for us, at the moment we don’t actually know whether anything has happened or not, we are going on what somebody thought they heard.
😀 Oh my!!!!!!! How am I supposed to work now???? 😀
Sorry what are we talking about here?????
….and it looks even nicer inside, it’s been built to a very high standard, question is, are the guns installed as yet?
I wonder if we are all on the same distiguished road??? If so there’s no wonder there is such traffic chaos in the UK
They did well to get that flying then seeing as the wings were off and it’s engine is away being examined!!!
I guess you are refering to Leg Ends 2005 for LF363 then?
Oh, now I’m scared!!!!
Nissen Huts, mmmm now then, I’ve seen a few of them recently, Hardwick has 3 in use as a museum and one or two more as farm buildings.
Thanks Moggy, I would like to pop over at some point, possibly in a couple of weeks if that’s ok.
Cheers
But did the data plate survive?
Not sure, but if you want a Hurricane dataplate I could introduce you to a man who has some.
Was Nermal a raffle prize?
