An absolute beauty, considering what we started with it turned out to be the nicest of the two we put together for Eddie Coventry a few years back. Has she gained her spinner back yet?
White 36?
Any ideas as to which one? Any particular markings? Yak 11’s are impressive machines, I’ve known it for years, just having a hard job convincing everyone else.
Only a little, I had a nice warm shed to hide in for most of the time.
Only the one P51??? I was sitting in a field in Norfolk only to be treated to the sight of 2 P51’s which flew overhead and landed for display at a local museum open day.
Although according to a well known Warbird pilot / collector women are not properly equipped to fly tailwheel aircraft. 😀 😀
A comment that caused great amusement yesterday evening.
You coming over to the hoedown then?!
Certainly will, hotel room now booked, you may need to go easy on this old southerner though
Not grim at all, its a superb place, I’ll be back next month
Which particular Mustang did you copy the scheme off?
Oi, don’t you start 😮 😀
Great !! Cant wait to see and hear it in the UK.
Someone said before that it may be the 1st p 39 to fly in the uk since WW2…. But didnt TFC have a 39 in the early 90’s that was lost in France… ??
That was a P63.
Depends whether you can spend more than 2 days in the country at a time Eddie. :p
I think SeaWorld in Orlando may be able to sort you out with one of them. You may not be able to take it home (I imagine it would ruin the carpets anyway).
😉 Yes people do buy them, would you like one James? I know of one which may well be available in the future and will be a superb machine. 😮
However if you don’t want to wait there are a few about in America which for a reasonable sum of money you could be in tomorrow.
Thanks for the info, I’d heard a rumour of a project for sale but no real confirmation.
no, James, SPITFIRES, not P-51Ds! 😉
Now steady on there old chap!!!!! 😉 😮
