If it was a Triumph Stag it would have broken down before it reached the runway.

Hasn’t Petie moved from North Weald to America?

    QUICK! Somebody get Yak11Fan!

I think your camera is playing up Snapper, there is no way Janie would be disguised as a deformed Spit Fire. That thing is very bad.

Very nice aircraft, I would guess taken in the mid 50’s in New Zealand.

Don’t forget in this hot weather the Mustang has a very effective cooling fan strapped to the front of it. Maybe we could start a new thread, 101 uses of a Mustang 😀 😀 😀

I suspect that I may have located her, did I say hanger?? Ooooops that may have given the game away a little, still if you were a Mustang in hiding you’d want to be somewhere warm and dry wouldn’t you? Believe me there is no way you would get a Mustang in a house, otherwise we’d all have one wouldn’t we 😀

But thats hardly likely to get Janie to poke her nose out of the hanger is it?

When did I start rambling anyway?

Nice to see that the thread has moved from the subject of a reasonable fighter on to the subject of North American’s finest 😀 😀 😀

The PC screen is my only form of light in the darkened room I am laying in, I have been out scouring Norfolk all day looking for missing aircraft and I believe I am on to something now. I shall go back to standing in a feild tomorrow to see if I have discovered Janie’s hiding place. Lets see if she comes out of hiding, do you think there is any bait i could use to entice her out into the daylight?

You need a second choice Neilly as I have the Mossie in my collection now, although Eddie is now trying to get it off me, perhaps I’ll enter it into an auction and with the proceeds buy the ex RAF museum aircraft that is now in Norway
