Snapper, what sort of bizare bleedin website is that!!!!!!
This JANIE you speak of, is that a Mustang?
Would beer help it pass sooner, or is darkness the best cure?
Typhoons and Tempests, what are they, never seen one fly. Saw a Mustang today though and another yesterday. I like Mustangs 😀
Think that one is pronounced Jay-Knee
That really must ruin your day. One operator that I worked for had his Spitfire taxied from one part of the airfield to another on the day of our evening Xmas meal, the pilot lost the edge of the taxyway and stood the aircraft on its nose. There was a bit of an odd atmoshpere that night.

Right, thats it CFS2 has bitten the dust, and tempers are frayed. I’m off to have a beer before my PC ends up going through the wall.

Just a quickie,Iwould just ask that the folks out there who get worked up when they can’t see the aircraft that they want to see flying spare a thought to the ground crews that most of the time are there looking after these aircraft for NO wages & sometimes even having to pay their own expenses to get there to do it, mostly the only thing they get from an Airshow is the satisfaction that they got ‘their’ aircraft to the field so people could see it. I have been one of the lucky ones who have been paid to be there in the past but I take my hat off to the volunteers who work to give YOU the show so that some of you complain about, without them, most of the time there would be no show!
Very well said Warbird UK, the volunteer element often gets overlooked. These guys should receive a lot more paise for their efforts than they currently get.

why could it not be left in an unfixed condition and positioned outside for everybody to photograph, not just the choosen few with media passes and unlimited access to Duxford Airfield. As for the danger of the undercarrige collasping surely there are such things as locking pins?DOUGHNUT
Last time I went to Duxford I didn’t need a media pass to get into the hangers, from the photographs I have seen here, and those that friends have shown me it was possible to get a lot closer to the Hurricane in the hanger than it would have been outside on the flightline. Those who were there also had the chance to see it with some of the panels removed so as to see the high standards of workmanship that have gone into this aircraft. Maybe it should have stayed at Hawker Restorations over the weekend then nobody would have known anything about it and we woud all have been happy.
I bet the guys at TFC are thinking they can’t win with some people, as a huge amount of effort has gone into getting all the aircraft together for the show.

It still puzzles me as to why the Lancaster hasn’t been allocated participation at Flying Legends recently, instead of other duxford shows throughout the year. I would rather see PA474 at legends with other legendary aircraft than at the may or september shows at duxford !
Doubt very much it had anything to do with the organisers of Leg Ends, probably more to do with the allocation by the RAF. Maybe if we all club together and buy them a second Lanc one could appear at every show that expresses an interest on particular days as they are able to do with the Spitfires and Hurricanes.
Perhaps we should be grateful that there is a Lancaster operating in the UK rather than beating up the BBMF for not allocating it as we would like, I’m sure those at East Fortune last weekend were very pleased to see it.
Best airshow moment for me would have to be Wethersfield in 1987. Sat there watching the display as you do, when the first Blenheim gave a couple of passes, only time I ever saw it fly.
Other than that the airshow at Old Buckenham this year must rank as one of the highlights of recent years for me.
