TE184 became a high back during her first rebuild by Trent Aero in the late 80’s.
It seems you misunderstood what I meant by “offenders” . I meant offenders such as those already put forward –
– dont do aeros near the ground.
– dont run out of fuel.
– make sure the runway is long enough.
.
Again, none of these are unique to display flying, but to flying in general.
Ah ok, thanks very much
I am confused, wasn’t D-FWWC the prototype? Which one is G-FWCC?
I didn’t see Look East, I was just going on the article in the local paper.
Sounds a good deal to me.
Will the resulting 2 seat spitfire have a set of undercarrage doors?
Or is that an optional extra?
Maybe its all in the information pack.
Then again……
The undercarriage doors are valued at around £750k per side these days, so that makes £11.5k for the rest of it seem about right…
Or maybe the Grace Spitfire.
And none of these problems are unique to airshows or historic aircraft. So as long as people continue to fly there will be accidents in the same way as those who drive will still punt the car in front of them 100 yards up the road at times and those that sail will still sink on occasion.
Tiger Club at Headcorn?
Maurice Hammond’s Mustang taking-off from Hardwick in September.
Nice to see the Mustang clearing the grass before it clogged up the Stearman’s oil cooler 😎
I am nervous about the Blenhiem being restored at Duxford yet again with the ugly nose to flying condition, the chaps there doing the restoration are magicians but whose going to fly it without spanking it into the ground finally?
Graham
Hardly fair… can happen to any aircraft at any time, depending on the particular set of circumstances.
im not sure if it was tsunami, but i remember that it crashed, had a problem with the prop or something
Red Baron
If we are talking about the Piston Engined World Speed Record then I thought that Rare Bear still held that at 528mph. Dago Red has the fastest ever lap at Reno.
Jeff Hawke flew the Mustang and Mike Wright the P47.
I don’t think so but aren’t the rules the same across Europe?
You’d like to think so… but I’m not sure they are as yet.
