    The Mustang whistle has very little to do with the airscoop, it’s primarily down to the airflow over the gun ports as the angle of attack changes.

    Hi Moggy,

    Thanks very much for looking. They did exist, a few still do. I have seen one pic in Mighty Eighth In Colour from Steeple Morden. Hardwick seemingly had them at different entrances into the technical site, indeed one of the concrete bases remained until recently, until the council decided to remove it.
    As you say though, pictures are pretty rare.

    So where are the moderators when you need them?????? A new member logs on to the forum and before they get a chance a member rips them and their family apart. the leg pulling was harmless enough but for another member to then to rip into somebody and question their family life is completely out of order.
    This place has now sunk to its lowest depths and I’m ashamed to be a member. Thank goodness there is now somewhere else to go.
