That may have happened in the past but seemingly not any more
Other than the fact the G-HISS is a Pitts Special you mean?
and managed not to crash
Thats a constructive comment, very helpful
It’s also a genuine Oscar and not a TAF replica
How’s your replica Spit coming on Daz?
Sorry Firebird, I was just trying to understand what you were meaning by ‘doing it right’ Did you mean that this is a better way of doing things or that these solutions are correctly engineered or whatever?
As a matter of interest is anybody aware of these parts being used in Merlins in America, other than Mr Roush’s own aircraft that is?
I would love to see one sold and flown down her
Kindest regards

Down her what?????
As a P-51 owner he has the passion, but importantly, the financial and engineering backup to do it right. 🙂
Do it right, or just differently???
I know a couple of Mustang owners in the UK with the passion and engineering back up to do it right.
Would the CAA alow such things to be used???
Interesting article in the last Warbirds Digest though.
BAH!
Isn’t that another one of the preservation groups at Bruntingthorpe?????
Even got a tour of the basement………..
And they let you out again???
And we know a good Spitfire engine builder….
I want to do another camera sortie with an Auster V. A superb camera ship with the door off and also a lot of fun to fly. As for the ‘target’ anything really!
Might be a nice camera ship but they are cold and draughty with the door off when crossing Norfolk to do a poppy drop….
I had an exceptional season without going to many air displays> Woodchurch as usual was magnificent but for me the highlights were meeting and talking to Major Bill Price in August and the last two 93rd Bomb Group Museum days at Hardwick which have seen some very nice aircraft on display at their operators own expense for the enjoyment of the visitors.
Unless anything else comes up in the meantime I may drift down for a while
