Close Calls by Bill Price, a fantastic publication about Bill’s war. It was an huge pleasure to meet him and listen to his stories recently
Bye…….
To be fair I always follow the A12 when going to North Weald
First aircraft I ever worked on that Viscount…
How close to North Weald is Finchingfield?
Last time I saw Thorpe Abbotts it was the wrong way up….. Good museum though, although in spite of driving past it 3 times a week I’ve not visited for 18 months.
Zero points for Napier Sabre in the warbird identification game…. Is it not formation week at North Weald this week???
Other than that is could have been the Warbirds of Great Britain fleet off to Holland on holiday.
Comment of the night must be….. ‘Whose that guy, he’s using a picture of my aeroplane’…..
It’s a genuine scheme so why not. When the whingers have their own A26 they can paint it as they like.
Could they have been Yak50/52’s from North Weald? They do a formation school there from time to time, but I’ve no idea when that happens.
You mean the Corsair and P40 are back from New Zealand???? When did that happen???
From here But I’ll stick to Champagne thanks. 😉
Ah so there is money in publishing after all 😀 😮
Not yet
Yes TJ… As I said it’s currently owned by Peter Teichman and kept in Peter’s hanger at North Weald….
