No doubt about that.Nic
Surprise ,surprise French neo-fascist agreeing with Russian neo-fascist .:applause:
How did ISIS convoy through open desert again without taking fire from one coalition aircraft ?
Excellent news, Syrian army and allies have fully liberated Aleppo city. This is the most important victory in syria. Now SAA units from Aleppo could go to liberate Palmyra again and destroy ISIS terrorist on their way to Deir Er Zor.
Yes. ISIS’s relative strength and their ability to absorb such losses just indicates that they have as much Gulf support as ever. Turkey and US too. Just like every other time in this war, ISIS waltzed from one warzone to the other, with convoys traveling through the open desert , and the coalition that is supposedly fighting them from the air did not see or bomb them at all.
Another thread turned into a F-35 slugfest.
Oh, the DAS thing has already been talked about…..the video is on a Gen II helmet with OLDER DAS. Watch the video your own source. God f*cking dammit, F-35 haters USE ANYTHING to criticize the plane.
EODAS>any current MAWs used by 4th Gens. Period. It is the ONLY MAW that can track enemy aircraft at long ranges with IRST capabilities.
I really don’t believe that the F 35 had to be slower than most of its competitors in order for it to have such capabilities. So yes. As much as Im tired of hearing about the F 35, it is a hard one to quantify for us fan boys.
It has very few diehard fans. There are diehard Raptor fans. Diehard SU 27 fans ect. But F 35 ? Very few
The automatic target designated feature is quite good

what exactly is automatic here ? Lots of things have been automated on fighters for a long time.
This airbase is located in central China, in the middle of nowhere that is also known as Inner Mongolia.
oh ok. The name sounded offshore to me..
The expert mentioned that super maneuverability not so useful in modern aerial combat but did not mention what combat missions it would be useful in, that may be what you are thinking of?
It surly does not bother Russia one bit to see that the west is going with that theoretical philosophy. Because that’s exactly what it is. Theoretical.
That the Pak Fa is a large aircraft than the J-20
^wow.
Doesn’t these exercises expose it to Japan/US radar in some form ?
True, tell paralay that his claim is hubris. Not only was the 3bs nozzle not patented on the yak-141, but the X-35 already had said nozzle design before before L-M or Pratt ever got to inspect the Yak-141. The rest is internet pseudo-history.
No doubt US designers were curious about the Russian swivel design to see if there were any improvements that could be implemented.
Still. The basic concept meaning the size of the aircraft and what it is intended to do was born out on the Yak. There is even video of a Yak landing on a carrier practice runway.
Is there something wrong with the Hornet’s ejection seat ? why so many deaths ?
No.
They were never rivals.
/thread.
The concept was in competition though.
(Russian: Орёл pr: “Ar’yol”, Eagle) was a late-1970s plan to give the Soviet Navy a true blue water aviation capability. The aircraft carrier would have about 72,000 tons displacement, with a nuclear power plant and about 70 aircraft launched via steam catapults, similar to the earlier Kitty Hawk-class supercarriers of the U.S. Navy. Unlike them and is the preceding Soviet aircraft cruisers, it was designed also with a large offensive capability, the ship mounts including 24 vertical launch tubes for anti-ship cruise missiles.[1] In the USSR it was classified as the “large cruiser with aircraft armament”.[2] The project 1153 (itself based on an early-1970s Project 1160, confusingly also named Orel, even 10,000 tonnes heavier) was cancelled in October 1978 as being too expensive, and a smaller Project 1143.5, more V/STOL-aircraft-oriented, was developed instead

I still can’t get over how long the Weapon bay door’s are on the J-20, they will probably need all the space inside for the new long range missile if current estimates are correct. And another thing, what happened to the PL-21 missile? Disappeared or was this new missile the PL-21? Help!
do we have a measurement of those doors ? I thought they looked proportionally small to be honest
it is smaller than the pakfa and flanker. will you call them heavy interceptors?
empty weightis 19,000 kg
The J-20 is not smaller than the Pak Fa.
J 20 Empty weight: 19,391 kg (42,750 lb)
Pak Fa Empty weight: 18,000 kg (39,680 lb)
Flanker Empty weight: 18,000 kg (39,680 lb)
Usually “whataboutism” is used againts Russia’s explanations. How ironic.
Whataboutism: what Russophobic commentariat call comparative analysis & context when hypocritical agitprop exposed.
