Totally agree that F1 has lost it’s gloss.
My own personal opinion is that they should return to the rules which were in force during the time of Clark, Hill etc.
You start the race with sufficient fuel to complete the distance and four good tyres. If (due to mechanical reasons or a puncture) you have to enter the pits, then that’s just the way things are.
Jim Clark was apparently in this position in one race. Entered the pits and was lapped by the field. Exited the pits, unlapped himself and I think managed a top 5 finish.
That’s what racing should be about – who is the best driver. Not who has the best technology, or who has the best pit strategist. Just hit the green lights, travel the distance and first over the line wins.
Seems simple to my wee brain cell

Other than the information I posted originally, there’s nowt else I can find.
The label is totally perished so no joy there.
Been in touch with Messier-Dowty, who “think” it was a standard part fitted to several types of aircraft, possibly a Harrier being the front runner.
Dowty was bought over by an American Company called Delphi. So despite my Scottish nature, I telephoned them in the States. After 10 mins on hold, I gave up. Contacted their UK folks in Cheltenham, who could not help either.
Kind of hitting a wall with this one.

Here’s a piccie of the mysterious pump;

I suspect the poster means that some aircraft do not appear in the Aircraft Select Menu.
If this is the case, it’s probably due to the invisible aircraft being AI models which are not designed to be flown by the user.

Will see what I can do.

Okay dokey, seems the mystery pump has everyone stumped.
Can anyone suggest places/people to contact where I can perhaps solve this one?
Thanks

As I understand things. McLaren driver Alonso and test driver De La Rosa, provided the enquiry with emails which clearly showed them discussing the Ferrari information. They were granted immunity by the FIA for any wrong-doing on their part revealed in the emails.
Stepney as far as I know “legged it” to Asia, where he remains. I quite agree that he is the one who stole the information and should be punished.
However as revealed this evening McLaren had this information in their possession for 3 months before they were caught. That’s hardly the behaviour of a whiter than white innocent organisation is it?
Bernie Ecclestone when asked who was to blame for the punishment had a very simple answer……”McLaren”
Having read various forums on this subject I think there is a very real “nationalistic” view amongst some folks and it’s almost as if some would venture that Ferrari are to blame.
Take it to simple terms:
Stepney stole property from Ferrari. He passed the stolen property to the Mclaren engineer. The information was being discussed by the drivers – ergo Mclaren received stolen property and had possession of it for 3 months of this season. Now basing my opinion on 19 years as a cop, I make that 2 accused (Stepney and McLaren) and one victim (Ferrari)
After all you cannot accuse a homeowner if their house is stolen from – or in these PC days can you?
Cheers
