Indeed. It saddens me to think of how many millions of digits needlessly gave up their lives to create these photos of dark dots against a dark background.

Thanks for the awesome feedback on my photos guys! And its great to see how quickly you’ve taken the moral high ground, I cannot afford to pay for every Duxford airshow although I do go to Legends every year.

I think you’re missing the point – the whole point of paying to go in is to fill the coffers with well deserved profits for the immense costs of running DX and the wonderful aircraft we get to see. Is a Merlin at full chatter not a gallon a minute! Be proud that you have the decency to pay your money at the gate for legends, but don’t take the cash from the mouths of our wonderful airfields and operators when it suits you!
Here are a few shots taken from the naughty field on Sunday of the last spitfire display of 4 machines. The weather was quite broken up by this time and the sun made an appearance!

    :applause:
……sort of reminds me why I pay to go in!

Here’s my favourite – a well meaning Christmas present – even four year old Nipper Bantock can see the “notfires”!

Aha not a crash – a forced landing – execution looks perfect. Prop clearly wasn’t rotating on touch down. We’ll done that man – some excellent skill in saving the aircraft! :applause:

Gotta say it,, but the guy that did that is a complete asshole,,,,, Sorry mods, censor if you wish, but that’s what he is,,

Blimey – all he did was spell Colditz incorrectly! Methinks the respondent is an English teacher!

There was a might too much interest in what TFC had done with “their” P47 for my liking, so I sort of lost interest as it was not really my business.

I’m probably asking the obvious and haven’t read the related posts……. but has it been replaced with a Spitfire I (AR213?) – if so – most excellent – and thanks for letting us see the P47!

This is the problem I have with this hobby/interest of ours.

How many years of wonderful time have we had watching and reading about these “knights of the air”.

Young Nipper Bantock has recently gone from aerobating his toys around be house to dog fighting and crashing them on the rug. How do you explain to a three year old that these state of the art machines have a sinister side. I’m sure my father drummed this into me, but it still leaves my blood running cold when Nipper crashes his P51 into the sideboard.

It’s relics like this that need to be left as a reminder to all.

Thank you Mark 12 for posting the shots – I’ll use them to teach Nipper.

All very humbling for those of us who were school boys at the time.

Did they switch to red and describe a heart in the overhead as a finale?
