    Cosford 2010.
    Simply because we lived in Albrighton at the time. Directly under the B display axis, a few hundred yards outside the airfield. In other words the display was pretty much centred overhead and we got the full force of that wonderful roar. You’ve not lived until you’ve had annual private airshows in the overhead of your lawn!

    Not a display, but I said “sounds like the Vulcan” to daughter. She snapped “you’re talking out of your backside again Dad” just as XH558 appeared between the trees and flew straight overhead. Her reply…..? “You’re sad Dad, you need to take up stamp collecting”!

    Fabulous article about her purchase and resurrection in readiness for Reno in Pilot magazine a couple of issues ago. April 2012i ssue with cover shot. They’ve been busy since with the polish! She sounds a real challenge to fly.
