A pretty good FSM.
The serial looks to be non standard…but ML407 was NL-D and French serials were smaller and this would be post D-Day stripes in January 1945.
Now I wonder if a period ‘in service’ image was referenced by the owner/painter.
Any clues?
Mark
Thanks mark for the reply
Googled around last days ,but didn’t find anything relating to ML407NL-D

I was at the right place, right time today when I visited Avspecs, as they decided to roll out the Spitfire and the Mosquito so the two could swap positions in the workshop. What a fantastic sight, the first time I have seen the Mossie out in the sunshine and without all the clutter. Thanks for a great day Warren and all the guys!
Thanks Dave for these exclusive photos.
Would be great to see the Mosquito back in the air.
The same voor spitfire NH799 .
At least I’ve seen the fuselage at Duxford long time ago.
Great work from the Avspecs guys.
Hoped to see the mosquito during my visit early this year ,but all doors shut.

Bristol Freighter at Woodlyn Park – NZ5906 ZK-EPC
Woodlyn Park is a combination of unique accommodation, a farm park and a kiwi culture show. Accommodation available is in the Bristol, in an ex-NZR railcar and, since our visit, an underground hobbit cave and an ex-RNZN Fairmile.
Thanks Peter for a look inside .
The park now includes also a boat .No water around but you can sleep in a boat..)
On your pictures I miss the Ladies Toilet next to the Freighter.
Hopefully it is not in use for guests

Looking back at a great saturday at Duxford.
Challenged by the weather ,but it worked out nice.
Great surprise to find the flightline reversed .Very welcome after 20 years Duxford .
Also the lack of maintenence personel and “Press” at the flightline was evident .No need to brush out ” Press” this time.
Many Thanks to David ,for his excellent reports in the run-up to FL2012 and the activities at Duxford over the year including excellent photowork.
Well done David 🙂
Started uploading FL2012 on my photostream .
Time to sit back en enjoy the show one more time

Great photowork.
I was planning for Hamilton but had to cancel.
Visited Hamilton years ago ,great memories specially the Lanc.
A bit unfortunate to see a bright yellow jacket in the cockpit.
I would have brushed out the yellow color ,to balance this great shot.
Can’t wait to see more action from Hamilton.
Johan
Many thanks Errol for the update.
Good to see the Devon preserved and on display in great condition.

Hmm, I learned something here…
I always thought this to be a NA-50 lookalike (the fighter version derived from the T-6 family) but had never twigged to the French Hellcat scheme. Perhaps I had it confused with this US based NA-50 ‘replica’ (which doesn’t look as good in my opinion): http://www.vg-photo.com/airshow/qb39/na-50.html
Anybody who can shed more light on this? Was it converted to be a NA-50 or a Hellcat??
Indeed a good question.
I only know these (at least 2 ) Hellcats “looks” were used in a movie.
If these are NA-50’s or NA-68’s (like some sites refer to ) I don’t know.
