Don’t know if this is any help but Euronews (Sky Channel 528) has been airing daily reports on the show usually tied in with their business section. Have seen some flying and reports from the exhibition halls…Better than nothing I guess!
This is worth a go I guess.
Great pics, thought that the Gulfstream might have been one of ours. I’ll have to check when I return to work 🙂
Stunning pics guys, thanks for taking the time to share. I did not realise that World Airways had re-instated the 60s style livery on the MD11, is it a limited “retro” deal or full time? 🙂
May there be many more………….Enjoy! 😀 😀
Hmm I’m an old git too… 😀
Swissair Convair 990 Coranado (my first aeroplane flight!)
BA Trident
BA + Aer Lingus + BIA 1-11
BA + Aer Lingus B747
BA Tristar/DC10/737/757/767/777/Concorde
KLM Dc9
Intra Airways Dc3
Air Atlantique Dragon-Rapide (does that count??)
Monach B767Neil.
Definately some gems in there!
Ah, reading through all your lists, I guess the majority of you are under 40 years old, as there are very few propliners in the lists. There are far too many boring Airbus and Boeing flights recorded, until you come to Interflug 62M’s list which shows he is ‘rather maturer’ than the majority and has flown on some truely wonderful propliners. Like him, I have experienced a good variety of types and here is my list: l:
You have a wonderful way with words……. 🙂 🙂
Anglo’s 707 brings back some memories fo me, I often went to LHR to turn their 707’s, not Gatwick though.
The 757 was leased from Ansett, it wasn’t the first 757F & wasn’t ideally suited to Anglo’s operation. I only saw it twice & failed to photograph it on both occasions
Thanks for the info. 🙂
Open to correction but wasn’t the very last pax carrying 707 operated by an Iranian carrier lost in an aborted landidng a few weeks back? Can’t remember the airlines name but all the articles seemed to confirm that it was the last passenger hauling 707 still in use, apparently it used to be operated by the Iranian armed forces. I’m sure someone on here will know more.
I really do like your style Cliff……stay a long time pls! 😀 😀 😀
Nice pics…As said by others, never mind the quality its just nice to see some oldies! IMO spotting was definately more interestig then. The 707 in the first batch was in fact operated by Anglo Cargo who I seem to remember took delivery of the first main deck cargo door equiped B757 weeks before going bust. Does anyone else have info on that? 🙂
Still……….I’m a big fan of Airbus airplanes (very gracefull) but they are heading for one godallmighty HUGE implosion!
What brings you to that conclusion……………
IMO it seems, based on the many articles in various journals on this, that at times Air India does’nt seem to know what it wants. Lets hope for their sake that they have chosen well. I have to admit that the fact that this situation is not calming down does make one wonder if, as quoted by 4 engines, there is no smoke without fire. Doubtless all will become clear……yeah right!
I sure hope it’s not those damn 787’s.
Now you’ve done it……..Those ‘ol Boeing boys ‘ll be after ya!! 😮
Better looking than most modern cars!! :p
