Geforce….I’m with you on this one. The sooner this constitution is in place and operating the better. And if in the process we can move this European thing into higher gear then thats cool with me too. Sick to death of hearing all the anti EU rhetoric although I think that alot of that is due the regime in London doing a very poor job of informing us of the functions of the EU and the things that it has done for the country. I live not very far from a much needed by-pass that was part funded by an EU grant…Nasty ‘ol Brussels!!
Ren, I have an Interflug TU154 display model in 1/100 scale, courtesy of a friend in Berlin and an A3XX (not 380) in the current Virgin colours. Like you, I can’t wait to see the real thing.
Now I’m back working at STN again its mainly there that I “see the planes” But my No1 place is still LHR but I sure miss the rooftop terrace! I was well impressed with MAN on my first spotting visit last month although my work had taken me there a few times before.
Interesting if true. But does it hang together with BAs obsession with cutbacks at present?
Bristol 170 Freighter Mk 32 of British United from Lydd to Ostend in 1963. I know its an old type but I was VERY young and I remember it well as our family car was loaded onto the plane via clamshell nose doors! We did the same trip again from SEN to OST on a Carvair of BAF some years later, a larger plane but the idea was the same in that your car went too.
Isn’t there some kind of “interactive” viewing area in T4 but located airside?
Heathrow!
Nice pics! One of my favourite airlines. I have 2 MEA models in my collection, one is a 1/100 scale B747 and the other is a 1/100 A321 in the latest scheme. MEA has survived many bad times and its survival and continued operation is a testimony to those who have worked in it.
Its got to be LHR, or at least it had to be before the terrace closure. But then again there’s always SPL! In the UK now from a spectators point of view then it has to be MAN.
Well I’m proud of Airbus and glad that our aerospace industry is such a major part of its achievements.
Can anyone tell me the average age of the current BA fleet? I suspect its a fair way down the league table these days.
Wasn’t there something similar to this with a JAL 747SR some time ago which was also attributed to the failure of a pressure bulkhead repair failure? If I remember correctly the repair was in fact carried out by Boeing on that occasion. It was a long time back though so my facts may not be totally correct.
Nice pics WD. More anytime please. Like you I don’t give a toss about post numbers!
Very slick! I like that alot, would look great on an A330.
Nice one Aleks, Thanks.
