My first flight as a very young child was in 1963 on a British United Bristol 170 Freighter. It was one of those cross channel car carrying aircraft as we took our Citroen DS19 car with us, does anyone remember either machine?? The flight was from SEN to OST.
Hi Andrew….major cooling probs on the PC….still have as it happens. Until solution sorted I can only be online a limited time, sometimes I get an hour sometimes only 10 mins! …better in cooler weather!!! Will send u some more pics of additions to model collection soon! Latest addition is CSA Tu104. Have missed u all…glad u all still around.
Good one Andrew……..a great livery on a classic!
Try Virgin Express sometime, the home of gum chewing cabin staff and suspect cabins, still it is a LoCo so I suppose that makes it OK. Surprised at Olympic though.
According to the media this a/c hit a hillside on approach to Trabzon in bad weather. Looking at my own logs I have 24 flights on Russian made aircraft noted and I’m still here, I would not hesitate to make it 25 or more, ‘nuf said! Condolances to all involved in this sad accident.
Got to be done Andrew, I did that one year with Titan from STN, its the only way to arrive and to fly in over all that q’ing traffic was worth every penny.
Oh my!
Nicer in SAS colours.
No, sorry don’t like it! Looks like something dreamt up by Disney studios, perhaps in collaboration with Boeing? Previous livery much nicer and more efficient looking.
Officially no-but as usual in that Cuba/US situation all is OK as long as it gets at Castro, but thats for another forum!
I have to say that as most of us on this forum are either employed within the aviation industry or great fans of it, I am surprised and a little worried at the lack of response to mongus post! Come on folks there must be views on this dubious verdict out there somewhere! Or am I the only one who thinks that this judgement is very flawed.
The early BOAC 747-100s looked a treat in those colours. It was a nice gesture on the part of BA to paint one of them back into that scheme as they they said farewell to the type from BA service, was it last year? I think it was.
I’m fairly sure that Aeroflot use the 737 to ATH now but Pulkovo Airlines, which was the Leningrad division of the pre-1990 Aeroflot, do still use the TU154M and sometimes the IL86 to Athens, and LHR come to that.
Congrats and nice pic!
Guys, you’ve got to fly these Tupolevs before they all disappear. I have flown on many types of aircraft but have never experienced such rapid acceleration and rate of climb, in particular the Tu134A.
Unforgetable!
