Very sad news indeed. 2 dead now apparently. I always thought that the A109 was a two crew machine, but despite having spent 25 years in aviation, I know very little about helicopters.
I don’t think I’ve watched so little ‘broadcast’ TV as I do these days. Like many others here, I have a good selection of DVDs, yes, some aviation ones too:) I keep up to date with my news via RT, or France24, so I guess that if the BBC, and its licence fee disappeared tomorrow, I probably wouldn’t notice.

Three years ago, I was lucky enough to experience Business Class on one of their A380s, what a trip! Will probably never be able to do it again, as the trip was a family gift, to my partner and I.
A shame this. I’ve been a lifelong AI man, but the 777-300 and the 787, have really grown on me of late. Hopefully these probs can be solved relatively quickly. As I said in my previous post, when do ‘teething problems’ become something greater?
Some good shots there.
What is all this Gulfstream love though? There is no better looking biz jet than the Global Express in my book!
It’s the appreciation, of the beauty and grace that is the Gulfstream. The best looking biz jets around…and so say I!
As for the Global? Well, they say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery 😉
A veritable ‘Gulf-fest’! :):) Thanks for the post
MSR777, this (link to JetPhotos.Net) come immediately to mind.
Now you’d never guess who that flew for would you;)
It’s the same with a lot of airliner crash sites, isn’t it. Where possible, airline titles are deleted, usually as soon as it can be safely accomplished. For us ‘aviation nuts’ the visible livery designs are still a give away as to who the aircraft was operated by.
A couple of nice shots. Lets hope that LOT have a little more luck with their 787s, than have the Japanese and the Qataris.
Serj, Please check your PM box.
The RR Trent probs are not confined to the A380. I’ve often wondered when teething problems become in service ones. Having flown on the A380 twice now, both Emirates machines, I’ve never felt unsafe on one, and would happily fly on another tomorrow. Having flown on both the A330, and the 777, from a passengers perspective, I noticed very little difference between the two, although my partner is convinced, that the 777 is noisier;)
BTW, I understand from a friend of mine, who works as a technician for a based carrier at LHR, that their shortly to be delivered 787s are already tagged by some there as the ‘Plastic Pig’ A term of endearment I presume. I’d still like to fly on one, none the less.
Enjoyed those videos very much. Thanks for posting them:)
Haven’t there been electrical problems before with the 787 before? I seem to remember there being some electrical system issues during the final stages of the flight test programme. Be solved soon I’m sure.
Some nice ones Keith. I like the Meridiana Fly, not too keen on the Egyptair Express though.
