Some very nice shots, and a lovely sky as a backdrop. I really like that Malaysian A380. I’ll even l forgive you for the absent Egyptair:):)

I’m no doctor, but a blood clot in the brain is serious, and could result in a stroke, could it not?

Yes, it could. That is exactly what happened to me, a little over 2 years ago. I was fortunate in that it happened during the night. My sight loss has resulted in loss of my driving licence, and my job, but there are many stroke victims worse of than me. The scary thing is, I had no warning it was coming. One of life’s ‘curve balls’ I guess.

I’ve no time for Hilary, or her politics, but I wish her well, none the less.

Some spectacular videos, although I do agree that the second one, was a bit insensitive. It will be interesting to see what the cause really was.

Sad news. Condolences to all concerned:( Wether or not this turns out to be mechanical failure, weather related, or pilot error, surely its a little premature to institute criminal proceedings against the crew:rolleyes:

Not often you hear of an F100 being involved in an accident. Condolences to all involved. 🙁

Some fine pics there. High time that those running the major British airports caught up, and provided the kind of spectator venues that we see at the likes of Amsterdam, Zurich, Frankfurt etc. Maybe with the breaking of the grip of the BAA on our airports, we’ll see some changes, after all, if Manchester can do it!!

I trust the PIC on that flight, is now engaged in less dangerous ground based duties;) If as stated in the article, the pilot admitted to not being clear where the start of the runway was, then surely with that level of uncertainty, that approach should have been abandoned. IMO it’s no sign of a bad pilot, to give up an approach that’s not working out quite as it should, and go around. The records are full of those pilots who did otherwise.
