I love that Retro SAS. The last time that I was actually at Kastrup, the ramp was littered with Sterling Caravelles, and 727-200s, Braathens 737s, Conair B720Bs, as well as numerous SAS types, inc their DC8-63s. Happy Days:)

Great pics. I agree, the Landor scheme was classy.

Frank, some absolute gems once again. I’ve certainly never seen a DC10 labelled as Tarom! That North Korean Il62 is certainly rare nowadays. I did fly on one from Beijing to Pyongyang back in the mid 80s. I have seen an LAM DC10 at SXF, on a visit there in 89 I think it was. More of these anytime please, personally, I never tire of nostalgia 🙂

for a long time they were the only jets that came into LAP, they got quite boring in the end, sad when you think how diverse aircraft were in the 50s,now everything looks the same with engines hanging off the wings,

I used to feel the same way about the Tridents, my younger plane mad brother, feels the same way about the BA A320s.

The diversity is the interesting thing with these old aircraft.

People get excited now about the B787’s wing flex, because that is the only thing, apart from size, that distinguishes it from countless other aircraft.:(

Couldn’t have put it better myself.

Frank, some truly great images there. Lovely to see the Tu104! Like many of us, I still really miss the Queens Building viewing terrace. I did once see a CSA Tu124 at LHR, and was there for the take off of a Tu114, but I never got to see a Tu104. Please post some more if you have some, be great to see them.

Very well done Matt! Nice to see that Egyptair A330. I’ve enjoyed all the retrojets we’ve seen so far, but that Air France livery just doesn’t sit right on the A320, but then again, I guess it just wasn’t designed for one.

The Mahan 310 was a long way from home.

Thanks for posting those, some great pics there. Especially like the Iran Air 300, and the Egyptair 330. I’m surprised that in the current political climate, that Iran Air is still seen here.

Would it be possible to enforce Britsh type gun laws in the US. Is it possible that revised gun laws devised in Washington, could be imposed on the different states by central govt. Genuinely like to know. Thanks.

    Dude, seriously,

Grow up for Gods sake man!

My heart goes out to the families and friends of those victims. Sadly, until the 2nd Ammendment is consigned to history, these poor souls won’t be the last.
