Some great images. I think its great, when the cockpit crew wave like the Qataris. Love that Etihad A340-600.

As I said in an earlier post, I worked flights with Electras of Atlantic and Channel Express, so its good to see this grand lady earning her keep. Pls keep us updated. Cheers.

I’ve always liked the A310. That livery is very classy for a freighter:)

Same here. Far fewer so far. In all fairness to friends and relatives, we’ve discouraged them a little from sending them, and I’ve sent a fair few ‘e cards’ this time round. They seem to have gone down ok. A couple of years ago, I lost my job, due to health reasons, so have to watch the pennies a bit, although closest family and friends still get a ‘real’ card.

Has anyone here had a ‘cull’ on their card lists recently? I did, and its amazing the number of people, that we really only hear from at this time of year. Some have simply dropped off the radar, holiday acquaintances and so on, so I stopped sending. Trouble is, just like the conundrum of who you visit on which days over the holidays, forgetting a card can cause offence too, and there’s always that one which drops through the door, from someone you overlooked, or simply decided not too send to anymore……..ah the joys of the mechanics of Christmas;)

A sad loss indeed. It would be nice to think, that he now knows the answers to all those astronomical mysteries, he spent so much of his lifetime uncovering for us mere mortals to understand.

RIP Patrick, you’ll be sorely missed.:(

Actually, if one can step back from the mob fury, the humanitarian thing to do would be to keep a close eye on the two radio presenters, whose mental state may well be as fragile as the late nurse.

I couldn’t give a damn about the mental state of those two idiots. I sincerely hope that the pair of them, will give a thought to those two kids and their father, on Christmas Day, and on every Christmas Day thereafter. I’m sure the nurses family will remember them. This thoughtless pair must have been conscious of the fact, that a cheap prank such as this, could very well land somebody in trouble. Sadly for them, instead of getting a cheap laugh, it cost an innocent life, and if there’s any justice, it’ll cost them their jobs.

If my views make me a member of the mob, I’ll live with that, no problem.

I have no time for MoL and his ‘airline’ but it has to be said, that their safety record thus far, is good. However, this could be more more by luck than judgement. During my time on the ramp at Stansted, it was sometimes astonishing to see the speed at which some of the RYR aircraft taxied, particularly as they entered the ‘cul-sacs’ adjacent to the satellites. On one occasion, whilst I was despatching an Austrian aircraft, the Capt watched in disbelief, at the speed at which an RYR aircraft was taxying. He made a comment, which for the sake of common decency, and avoiding a law suit, I will not repeat here.

I think it’s going to look a whole lot better, when that red nose is painted over, don’t tell Rudolph;) and they close those ‘barn doors’ by the nose gear.

Nice shots there. I’ve always liked the Iran Air colours.
