That the demonstration was against gay marriage was IMO irrelevant, but apparently people here don’t feel that way. And while I am strongly against it, I don’t really really care to debate why. I might but in MP, not in this thread.
Nic
Gay marriage and adoption was at the core of the demo, and was the very reason it took place, so its hardly irrelevant. However, I do understand your point ref so called ‘mainstream media’ and how they cover, or don’t cover, certain events. Sadly, that is the case in a great many countries, not just France.

A couple of great shots Jason. I know its been around a while now, but the size of the A380 never ceases to amaze me.
Neil.
Some grand shots there. Thanks for sharing them.
Nic, how has the thread been been ‘de-railed’? You started this thread, based on the demonstrations held in Paris, which as I understand it, were against gay rights in terms of marriage and adoption, was this not the case? If so, then based on the content of responses posted here, the thread is not ‘de-railed’ referring as they do, to the points you raise.
There is a world of difference between what you call a ‘de-railed’ thread, and a thread containing well thought out responses to it, from people who hold different views to your own. Its a forum, that’s how it works, and hopefully, by taking part, we all learn something from it.

Well I am gay, and have been in a loving relationship for 23 years now. I don’t seek anyone else’s approval or ‘sympathy’ for how I am, but neither do I wave the fact in peoples faces, be they gay or not. Despite the claims by those, religious or otherwise, who have great problems in justifying their prejudices, being gay is not a ‘lifestyle choice’ Just stop and think about that term for a moment. Does anyone seriously think, that a person would deliberately ‘choose’ a lifestyle that could expose them to prejudice, ridicule, mental anguish, physical harm, and sadly, in some cases, suicide. Surely the answer has to be no. As for religious ‘compassion’ and hypocrisy, don’t get me started on that.
Sure, things are somewhat better than they were in the past, but true equality? Ain’t never going to happen, for goodness sake, even women don’t have that today!
Gay marriage? Neither of us have ever wanted it for ourselves, but I can understand those who do.
Thanks for looking, and may your applicable and compassionate deity, walk with you in peace 🙂

Some great shots. Nice Air Malta.
If true, this is very good news for AI.
I’ve always liked the SAAB 2000.
Very nice. That livery still looks great, even on a smaller airframe.
I just love that livery on that. A380. Looks as though it could do with a quick wash;)
Great shots there. Especially the KLM Embraer.
Nice shots, especially the Yakutia.
