I suppose it depends on how long your looking to own it verses the annual mileage you clock up and any service history the car has. Personally high mileage has never put me off buying a vehicle, besides it’s a diesel! in theory it should go on forever….
That’s what I told myself buying mine anyway ;).

I have a 05 Peugeot 407 2.0HDI, very comftable and unique looking. Great fuel economy I get around 60mpg at 70mph in 6th gear although not all models have a 6 speed gearbox. Some of the first models at 04 plate might be within your range although I can’t say I’ve checked recently.
Got mine for £5k last summer with 87,000 miles on the clock, still love it.

Always thought they were classy colours on any airliner .
Cheers mate! 😀
Were you at the East end of the base by any chance as the scenery looks very familiar? Either that or they’ve cut the hedge at the Western end-at last, they’ve been needing to do that for years.
We were parked on Station Road under the approach path for RWY 26 and one of the other guys there did mention that they’d finally cut the hedge down to size.
It’s a great location on sunny days like that as you can just sit in the car and wait and get out when you need to, the way it is right now gives some fantastic angles when they’re on approach.
There’s also a petrol station a mile or two down the road if you need drinks etc, you’ll have to ask Tom where the location is that produced that first Tristar image! I just followed him till we got to this dead end country road which led to a crash gate next to the runway.
Thanks for the comments :).
Must try swing past Brize if those kinds of shot are do-able.
Yep make sure you do! as long as you park on the grass areas and not where it says ‘DO NO PARK AT ANYTIME’ you’ll have no issues at all from airport security etc. 🙂
“Hey Bill, do you ever get that feeling you forgot something?”

Cheers for the comments all :).
Great photos Tom! Was good to see you for a few hours.
Nice angle on the first Tristar, we should drive down all roads that say ” VILLAGE ONLY, NO THROUGH ROAD ” if that is the result!
Tom
Thanks mate 😀 and yes well, as you could tell I was already getting ready to do a U-turn and head back. At least you didn’t lead us to a persons driveway/garden this time ;):diablo:.
Can’t really get much more variation than that in a thread can you!? 😀
Great selection there, the Belgua shot is my partiuclar favourite 😎
Well the airline industry is struggling right now, I guess saving thousands of pounds by not repainting all the combined fleet when it doesn’t really need it is a wise choice.
In the end it isn’t going to bother your average Joe either.
I believe this was on a couple of weeks ago on Channel 4 and I missed it, think I shall be watching it tonight.
“Got to make sure I shoot the enemy plane this time….”
