Well I can’t confirm anything for September yet but using the Virgin Atlantic schedule for the Heathrow/Mauritius flights up untill the end of March or so and Amadeus, it’s showing the flights being operated by A340-300s.
Of course this is subject to change for a few months ahead but I can’t imagine it being much different to the current schedule.
Couldn’t we of been asked about this before it was automatically chosen to be in the best interests of the forum?
Maybe because it was already known it would be a resounding ‘NO’…..
I guess a simple view count of before/after will dictate whether the move was for the best
Indeed, watch the traffic in that forum rapidly decline with viewers and posters alike! Trip Report forum anybody?
At least he doesn’t shout in the newest adverts .
Has anyone ever tried the coin test? :diablo:.

Not an Airbus in sight.
Had no complaints yet ;), awesome selection :D.
Lovely shots matey :D, sorry I couldn’t be there :(.
Fantastic shots my friend :), the Emirates shot has a very dramatic feel about it ;).
We’ll have to do it again soon.
Great, very rushed, ‘here’ is where?
Manchester I think you’ll find ;), nice selection .
Although I have flown Conti’ on international and domestic flights, that was back in 2004 so it’d probably be unfair for me to comment on what the service etc is like nowa’days but I flew American back in 2007 on LHR-JFK-LHR and they are a decent airline and the IFE/Service was great.
Seeing as you haven’t flown AA before I would definately give them a try, my trip report has some more detail about my flights :).
Well well! what an amazing day I had , I was on the 7-4 shift where I work (Waitrose) and made the fun trek to work. It’s not a long journey at a couple of miles but I took the car as I usually do and made the attempt to get there.
In the end 35+ people rang in to say they wouldnt be in and it was totally understandable, some people rolled in a few hours late and some turned round but this has been the worst snow weather I have ever seen in the UK! Which is surprising as I didn’t think I would see it ‘down south’ first!
Anyway here’s a short selection of pictures to show you…..
Halfway through attempting to clear my car of the snow on it, as you can see it was still falling rather heavily at this point still. You can see the depth of it too if you look at the top of the headlight, windscreen and tyre!
Looking up my road at the clearings the possibly one or two cars that had left before me had made, it took me a good 15 mins to get out of my road.
Had to stop on East Street and get this shot, I do like it myself :D.
I had made it into central Farnham and was proceeding slowly up Downing Street on the one-way system and was greeted by a very stuck Sainsburys lorry that had failed to make it up the icy slope and turn right and parked itself in the railings…..

I was going to turn left and head for work but after watching a Volvo V70 being pushed by several postman struggling with it and hitting the railings slightly I had to make a U-turn and head back down the street and take the long way. One helpful man contacted the police to come block off the street and was directing traffic so no-one else would get into the situation I was in.
The view from the dining room at work! I managed to park in the loading bay below but you can see the Waitrose wagon struggling to get up the ramp and a few workers (inc. myself) having to use grit etc to help him on his way!
You can also see the carpark now more resembles a genuine park!
Looking up The Hart which leads to Waitrose.
And finally home :diablo:.
I hope it’s clear what pictures were took with my phone and what were taken with my 350D! and apologies for the frequent appearances of my car ;).
Hope you enjoyed my mini photo essay, roll on tommorow :D.

I agree this type of weather always manages to bring this country to a grinding halt! no matter how much warning we get!.
Although I’ve just come back from Woking and a journey that usually takes me 25 mins or so has taken 50, to be fair the B roads were not pleasent and I myself came close to hitting another car and have already seen two accidents but I imagine the major roads will be fine as I saw plenty of gritters in action.
Roll on the rush hour tommorow!! how many car insurance companies are calling in temp staff for the morning eh? 😉
