The Gambia – it’s nearer than S.Africa.
I’m sure the distance isn’t too much of an issue, not as if he’ll be cycling there is it! I’ve been to The Gambia myself, same time of year (Jan 2006) and I do have a trip report floating around the forum archives.
Can’t say I rated it much, lovely people, climate etc but there’s not an awful lot to do there and a week was more than enough for me! you could think about going to Asia maybe? South America? ie – Brazil :D.

Great livery that, and the answer to your question regarding the reg is here…
Batch of JetBlue E-190s headed for Brazil’s Azul
By Mary KirbyUS low-cost carrier JetBlue Airways today revealed plans to offload six Embraer 190s by the end of the first quarter 2009.
The carrier has reached an agreement to lease two E-190s to Brazilian start-up Azul, which is spearheaded by JetBlue founder David Neeleman.
One E-190 has already been delivered to Azul “and one is soon to be delivered by the end of 2008”, said JetBlue CFO Ed Barnes this morning at the Calyon Securities Airline Conference.
Additionally, JetBlue intends to sell four future E-190 deliveries to Jetscape in the first quarter of 2009. Jetscape will subsequently lease these four aircraft to Azul, says Barnes.
“It was the gameplan coming into 2009 to continue to slow our growth. We wanted to do that through deferrals,” says Barnes, noting, however, that the agreement with Azul “was helpful”. He assures that JetBlue is “very pleased” with the performance of its E-190s.
To date, JetBlue has deferred delivery of over 100 aircraft, and announced the sale of 18 Airbus A320s. The company’s 2009 capacity plan calls for four net E-190s and one net A320.
Azul also has 36 E-195s on order with Embraer, with options for 20 and purchase rights for a further 20.
Nope, i’m a student. (I just have good contacts ;))
Yahoo Groups etc…..:rolleyes::D.
Amazingly these 3 airlines do not feature in my collection an awful lot, having only around 2/4 shots each of Futura/XL and none of Zoom! oh well, here’s a couple of ok shots I do have…..
Birmingham International 2006
Palma 2006
Birmingham International 2007
London Gatwick 2008
Glad you got a souvenir from your trip to our friendly country .
Nice selection all round .
(plus a £8.00 booking fee )
Oh boo-hoo , it amazes me you actually sit and moan about that. It’s still an incredibly cheap deal even with that and some people sit and moan just cause they didn’t get their flight for a quid….
It’s amazing we still have flights this cheap in the current economic climate so enjoy what you have on offer…
They also operate the A319 (SU-KBB) which has visited BHX aswell as the A320 (SU-KBA) so it could be either, not like there’s much of a difference between them from a pax perspective….
Worse than yours Future P.
On my way to Exeter my water pump went in my car causing the cam belt to slip bending the rods & valves etc, just picked it up today and handed over £1700 for the trouble.
You think you have it bad? swap? 😉
I’d rather not but to add to the argument one of the valves on my tyres snaped off and the air rushed out in 10 seconds and it was flat. Long story short I can’t get an ordinary valve because they are ‘sensory valves’ which means the car lets me know when the pressure drops too low, basically Peugeot want to charge me £140 for an ‘Under-Inflation Transmitter Module’ and to fit it :(.
Ohh well, I have to drive around with a crappy spare on in the meantime….
As for the parking? well yes I admit I did go beyond the 2 hour free time limit but at the end of the day I work in a Waitrose store that doesn’t provide free parking for it’s employees (except the management team ) and as a result I tend to move it between the free bay areas every 3 hours or so….
Forgive me for wanting to rather do that than pay £5 a day for parking, so yes I think I can get pissed off for getting a ticket!

Well I don’t think I contributed to the last thread so I may aswell start in the new one! Well I’m just going to post a few of my favourite driving songs, granted we’ll all have different ideas of what is a good driving song but I think these’s are a couple my favourites…
Angels & Airwaves – The Adventure
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=lwfT0okfmEY
I think the intro is amazing, the gradual build up and then it just kicks in! really makes you want to put your foot down!
Texas – Inner Smile
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Yxk6kRVzNnw
Just a great feel good track and that’s it, amazing on those lazy and relaxing summer days .
Booty Luv – Some Kinda Rush
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=qttkzjnObZ8
Ignoring the poor music video this is an awesome track, it’s so upbeat and fast it’s hard not to love driving too!
To be honest it’s quite hard to describe in words why you love a song sometimes. Music is so incredible in how it can get you right into a great mood and be there for when your feeling down.
I could keep going on forever and a day with other tracks but they are probably my favourite ones of the moment :D, untill I think of more :diablo:.

Which, I suspect, leaves a nasty glue trace on the windshield, as well..
Well it was the least of my worries to be honest! earlier in the day I’ve just forked out £120 for a new tyre which is due to be fitted monday. Not to mention a service is due!
It’s gonna be one of those months, roll on pay-day….:(.

You know… There are certain things in life that simply arn’t worth getting worked up over. The difference between ‘finals’ and ‘final’ on an internet forum is very definately one of them. 🙂
You said that in quite a calm tone so well done! one should of used the arrogant and rude tone in the reply to which they were answering .
Still, I guess you’ll be told you can’t fight fire with fire…..
Excellent selection though! can’t beat seeing an Iran Air classic :D.
