I’ve worked in a bar where Pepsi was served. 95% of the time the customer would simply ask for a ‘coke’ and for licencing/branding reasons etc we would have to ask if “Pepsi was ok?” Again, around 90-95% of customers would simply say “Yeah, that’s fine,”
Yeah that’s me…..:D.

I don’t mind to be honest and would be quite happy with either, I think you’ll find going into a restaurant or bar etc sometimes that you’ll ask for Coke and you’ll see them pour a glass of Pepsi…
Happens all the time, I don’t think anyone is that fussed are they?

Am I right in thinking that these 27L departure shots are taken from near the petrol station on the perimeter road? It’s just that I’m thinking of going tomorrow and want to try and get some different angles to those I usually get at Myrtle Ave.
Yep it certainly is!! I park in the petrol station itself to be exact.
Cheers for the comments as always people :).
On a side note, seeing that you’re going from DTW-DCA Future Pilot I would recommend trying to get a window seat on the left side of the airplane and hope for winds out of the south for landing for the best view. 🙂
Ahh okay, thanks for the tip :).
EDIT: Not as if we needed it but confirmation from Narita that both pilots lost their lives in the accident, RIP :(.
http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2009/03/23/2523231.htm
Unconfirmed reports from various Japanese news agencies say the pilot and co-pilot have been killed, but others say one person has been rescued from the wreckage has been transported to hospital.
Other reports say both men, who are believed to be US citizens, are dead, but so far this is unconfirmed.
According to Chiba prefectural police, the aircraft was whipped back up by strong winds when it landed at around 6:50am (local time).
A local observatory said winds of up to 72 kilometers per hour were blowing in areas around the airport at the time of the accident.
edit: from the BBC video it would seem the left undercarriage is missing and centre main is bent. Could the left have collapsed on that second touch down?
I believe so, if you watch the video after the second minor bounce he goes back up and appears to make no attempt to correct his nose down attitude, so the front gear hits the runway and the result is when the main gear hits the runway the left gear collapses leading to the explosion.
It’s a very unbelievable video, would it be possible he was unable to pull back up again because like I say he makes no attempt to when the nose is heading back towards the ground….? then again it may all be in the whole rush of the actual incident they were more concerned with keeping the aircraft stable?
Just to add to the link above as it may not stay on Youtube

That was one serious impact, it dooesn’t look like anyone would survive that :(…………
And ya wouldnt need to take out a second mortgage to pay off the bill of shopping at waitrose now you? 😉
I think you’ll find that’s the stereotype we are trying to get rid of, we are surprisingly competitive against the likes of Tesco/Sainsburys etc ;).

Lidl is walking distance from Morrisons, in our nearest town which is 5 miles away. Tesco is 12 miles away, out in “Gimme 6” country.
Somerfield is walkable from home.
Still…..
Must be a pain ;).

Probably spend half your bloody money on petrol driving to these different places :D.
