The downside of ALL SW technology is that it WILL be abused

Never say never but I seriously doubt it with Google SV :).

(Says he, using uTorrent whilst typing about SW morals!!!!!!!!!! LoL)

    ;).

how do i get it lol….stupid question?

Go to Goolgle Maps, enter in a town name or postcode etc. Then on the top of the zoom in/zoom out bar on the left is a little orange man. Click on it and drag it into the area in question, the roads that currently have Street View will highlight in blue.

As you are a trainee Mgr, then differ yourself from the part-timers in some professional way (I dunno what game you are in so can’t advise shirt/tie etc.)

I’ve not been promoted to a ‘white shirt’ yet and I do differ myself ;). I like to think you can tell the difference between myself and the part timers with the attitude and my much wider knowledge etc, come into one of our many stores old shape and I guarentee you’ll see what proper customer service is :D.

You are correct. But round these parts, the crime rate is low, strangers are watched at all times. We know who doesn’t live in our town!

What is so genious about GE Street view?……apart from the massive amount of information to be catalogued.
What can it give you that you didn’t have before…that is of “Actual” benefit?
It’s just another tool that has replaced the dying art of asking REAL people a question.

Well maybe ‘genious’ was an over-kill term but I just think it’s a fun tool that people will enjoy using to browse around the world, famous cities etc.

Granted it won’t give me anything new but I don’t see what Google Street View gives in place of asking questions. For example if I ask the manager of my Washington hotel about the area he’s hardly going to say it’s a sh*t hole is he ;).

With Google SV I can know the truth :diablo::D.

Counter staff in the average high street shop (On a Saturday) are part-timers, earning some beer money. At the heart of it, they just want to finish the day with no hassle, anybody with a problem is a nuisance. In fact anybody with a question is a pest.

Now you see that is the kind of generalization I was referring to earlier.

All I’m saying is I work as a full time Supervisor where I work but not being a fully fledged manager yet I wear the same uniform as the “part-timers earning some beer money” and I agree some are damn useless but I’m a hard worker and with an opinion like that it may well be shining off of you when you come to ask them a question.

I deal with enough customers a day to know who are genuine and those who are looking at me like some form of lower life , I’m not saying you are one of those people old shape but this is the exact opinion I think alot of people will have.

So, local scum can view how to get access without “Casing” the place.

What was stopping them walking by a couple of times a day and ‘casing’ the place? how do you know they haven’t done that before? how do you know your house isn’t already a target?

Yet now Google has produced this I bet people will be very quick to blame them for it, it’s sad. People seem so quick to find negative points in what it quite a genius idea.

Hey I work for a certain retailer consistently voted number one in customer service satisfaction surveys, you’d never suffer such appalling customer service here.

Well it depends how bad my day’s going or whether I like you that much………

Give me a polite attitude and don’t treat me like I’m somehow below you (which happens alot with the customers of my company) and I’ll go out of my way to help you. If not I may aswell tell you **** off somewhere else ;).
