Very interesting idea, would love to see it when it’s done.
Think I’ve found the aircraft concerned –
Tower Air B747-131, N608FF (cn:19672) stored at Victorville.
Afternoon all, here’s some shots of my DL flight from Cincinnati (CVG / KCVG) to Eagle – Eagle County Regional (EGE / KEGE) with a rather fun visual approach to RWY 7.
Enjoy :D.
Climbing out of CVG.
Just levelling out while on final approach 😉 .

Nice smokey touchdown 😎 .

Parked up at Gate 11, only one on the ramp actually.

You can see in the second and last shots why the approach is so interesting!

I always thought Monarch based an A300/B757 there, or they at least rotated through a few times a week.
Very nice selection Will :).
Have to agree that Legacy is just one fantastic looking aircraft 😎 , great selection :). Anyone know how Finnair are performing at EDI? I assumed good with the aircraft starting as an A319.
Read somewhere they where going to have Tristars?
James
That would be in the Press Release in the original post 😉 😀 , I’ve heard the rumours of the 767 returning but I guess for now with nothing else mentioned Tristars are still their weapon of choice.
Wow I’m quite overwhelmed by the replies, glad you found it useful everybody :D.
Been to Dublin twice now, saw most of the aircraft mentioned in your first post but as we were leaving the mound by RWY 28 at the last DUB meet in February we had just packed up the camera’s and what not and an Air Plus Comet A310 rolled out on runway 10!
Back last July also saw a Canadian Air Force A310 which was a nice surprise :D.
Dean – u sure about flaps 40 on a 737? I thought they never really deployed them to that extent?
Correct me if I’m wrong people but I always thought Flaps 40 was only ever used if the runway the B737 is landing on is very short or there is limited landing distance?
Tom
Not trying to hijack what you are doing, but merely trying to make sure the procedures are right for more enjoyment
Of course not Dean 🙂 , thanks for providing more information on the subject. I’ve certainly learned a few more things from the posts you contributed 😎 .
A really useful thread, though I should add that airspeed shouldn’t exceed 250 knots below 10,000ft – someone looks a little overspeed
Im well aware Michael! but I was typing and trying to get decent screenshots at the same time and wasn’t paying much attention to the actual flying :D.
I’m just constructing a small tutorial which I’ll post on here soon.
Well here’s another lot from me, I just finished London Heathrow – Moscow Domodedovo with a BA 772. I did want to use the scheduled 763 but it wouldn’t appear in my aircraft list so I didn’t bother.
Just one of the most beutiful sunsets I’ve seen FS produce also made the flight alot more enjoyable, also had a visual 😀 approach to RWY 14R at DME and I am proud to say it’s one of the best visual landings I’ve ever done and that was in the dark!
Here are the shots from the latter part of the flight, Enjoy!

Lovely touchdown :D.
