    Dont forget Ark Royal , there is a really good book on her discovery including pics of complete Fairey Fulmars sitting on the seabed , cannot recall author of book but a good read.

    What aircraft preservation means to me

    Showing kids of today what these aeroplanes were like , for them to be able to see (and yes touch) them to see what is inside them etc .

    As a kid used to hate going to museums and having to stay on the wrong side of the rope , these days it is good to see museums open up there aeroplanes for people to enjoy.

    Kids like these below (my older two little darlings) are the future of aircraft preservation , we need to get them interested not telling them not to touch.

    Hi Nashio966 , it is not a wapiti , most likely Italian in origin , wapiti has a alloy tube frame of square section.

    Hi Peter , i had a seat with the same pattern base but it had a small back rest , was told it was from a B24 Lib , sold it on years ago , have a look underneath seat base for p/n. 32 for Lib.

    Hi Peter , believe me the pics go nowhere near showing there poor condition , they are infested with birds , with many panels missing , the one on the pole still has its avons unsure about other airframe , they are owned by the by the caravan park those owner does not wish to part with them:mad: 😡
