The Andrew Schofield DVD about the SAAF Mk 3 Shackleton 1722 was launched at Newark in August 2007.

That featured an update about Pelican 16 and also interviews filmed inside WR977 at Newark. It used to be listed on their website but it’s no longer there http://www.newarkairmuseum.org/shop.htm

However I’m sure that I saw it in their shop the last time I visited.

The SAAf website does mention an unidentified Simmonds Spartan in their “Aircraft” section …the problem with their entry is that they state the years of service as 1925- 1925 ….the aircraft could not have been built until 1929 at the earliest !(the prototype ff in 1928).

Apologies for the incorrect info, the typo has now been corrected.

At least now I know that all the time spent compiling the list was of interest. 😎
