It was a commemorative formation for ULAS. The Yak 52 was a camera ship.
There is a pic here:

There is a moving picture cinematograph of your visit to Panshanger on youtube. Dare I post a link? I believe some footage of the three-ship is pending.

Thanks, Janie.
Your three-ship of Chippie, AA1 and Firefly looked good too – backtracking to the ORP.
Glad you noticed us, we hoped you would! Two Bulldogs – G-CBCB (me) and G-DOGG (Paul Sengupta) having a practice for Shoreham next Sunday.
That’s the 40th anniversary of the first flight of the Beagle Pup and there’s going to be a fly-in.

A picture of the Spanish marked one. The mention of Opticas causes a certain person at NW to start twitching violently – a lot of messing about for no result to date!

Canberra PR9 cockpit taken at Kemble last year when the aircraft were handed over to their new civvie owners.

I wear flying suit, boots, gloves, parachute and helmet in the Bulldog. After one close encounter with death, and a replacement helmet, I know it makes sense!
What amazes me is the flying supply catalogues, that come with the various magazines, advertising nylon flying jackets and polyester/cotton flying suits and shirts. Hasn’t anyone realised that these fibres will melt onto you in a fire. Don’t wear a fleece and trainers, they’re potentially lethal – it can happen to you.

Rapide G-ACZE is based at Bembridge and was due to fly in the 75th Anniversary Schneider Trophy air race on Sunday by Maurice Hynett, but was withdrawn along with the Moth and Condor because of the gusty conditions. It did fly later in the afternoon.
Looks lovely.

Glad you enjoyed the Bulldog flypast. We had planned a finger four formation, but we had a genuine missing man who was weathered in at Leicester with a 700 feet cloudbase.
Some views from the cockpit. My friend in the right hand seat had never been formation flying so was enjoying the ride rather than taking pics. The air to airs were during our practice and show a loose right hand turn in vic and a rejoin in echelon left after a ‘missing man’ pull up.

Your pics aren’t showing up on my computer. Would like to see any of our flypast.

Try the Squadron on 01992 524510. They may be able to help
Don’t know if it was the same Squadron there on Sunday, but we gave nine cadets an Air Experience Flight in our Bulldogs after our ‘missing man’ flypast.
Glad to see the event was a success. Sad we couldn’t make it this year, we’ve always had a marvellous time.

At North Weald we lost our Bulldog ‘missing man’, who was clagged in at Leicester, but managed a three-ship instead. The Norwegian F16s departed in good weather and by the time we were giving the Air Cadets some Air Experience Flights the vis was about 30Km is sunshine. Must admit the wind was a bit frisky though, even for a Bulldog!

I can remember seeing them mothballed at RAF Calshot when I was a boy.
A link here to a video clip of the Princess flying – a nice sequence over the Needles:
