Thursday 31 August
The T6 Harvard, G-BGOR, was out during the day. It returned in formation with Phil Ansell in his Yak 50, who then went off to his base at High Cross. The Harvard did a touch and go on the tarmac then landed on the grass.







The MiG 15UTI departed for its display slot at Bournemouth just before closing time.





Tuesday 22 August
The Vampire T55 was out on a couple of training sorties late afternoon, including missed approaches and touch & goes.
















The Jet Provost Mark 5, G-VIVM, was also out doing some trainig.




Saturday 19 August – Gnat and Jet Provost
The yellow Gnat G-MOUR was due to display at Herne Bay but went tech. G-RORI got off instead, but rather later than planned. It did some circuits on return to North Weald.






The Jet Provost Mark 3 G-BKOU was also out on a training sortie.




Saturday 19 August – MiG 15UTI and Hurricane
The MiG 15 UTI was also out displaying later in the afternoon.






The Hurricane was also displaying at Eastbourne and landed away.



Saturday 19 August – Vampires
The two Norwegian Vampires were out displaying at Eastbourne and Herne Bay.










Wednesday 16 August
On Wednesday both the Gnats were doing air tests ready for the weekend and some circuits as well.










The Jet Provost Mark 5 was also out a couple of times during the day.


Sunday 13 August
On Sunday 13 August the Biggin Hill de Havilland Dragonfly gave us another visit.





Tuesday 8 August
The Norwegian Vampires arrived just after 4pm from St Athan. They will be with us at least until the end of the month.
















The Mustang was at Newcastle last weekend and came back Sunday afternoon. Pictures on previous page.
Friday 4 August
The Harvard was out once again, this time going to Sywell.






Thursday 3 August
The MiG 15UTI flew in from St Athan. It is staying at North Weald for the Eastbourne and Herne Bay shows later this month. The two Vampires are also due in next week.







The Harvard II went off to Henstridge for the day.




Saturday 29 July
The Jet Provost Mark 3, G-BKOU, was out on a couple of training flights.


Our newly-resident AT6 Harvard III, G-BGOR, went off to Duxford, returning for some circuits during the afternoon. It is a rather smart example of the type and a welcome addition.






Sunday 23 July
The red and white Gnat G-RORI was out on Sunday.



The Mustang came back on Sunday afternoon, dodging the bad weather up north.




While not aviation content, we also had the Damn Yankees American car show on the Airfield.


The Moscow State Circus was with us for short season as well. A lot goes on at North Weald that doesn’t involve aviation!


I think that’s the plan, but Pete was concerned about the weather coming back from Scotland
Friday 21 July
The Hangar 11 Mustang went off to Newcastle for the Sunderland Airshow over the weekend. It is then going to Scotland for a further display.




It then turned into a helicopter day when the Army Air Corps Historic Flight’s Sioux came in from Middle Wallop for maintenance.






The crew later ferried a Scout back to Middle Wallop.




The Herts Air Ambulance’s new AW169 was also out with their existing MD902 Explorer doing an air-to-air photo shoot.
