Robert,
Great pictures, keep scanning!!!….reminds me of my childhood, those were the days when the world was not dominated by Beoing or Airbus. The IB DC-8 was a beauty, have you got any AVIACO DC-8 pictures?

My parents are going to the Algarve next month for my dad’s 50th birthday. I’m flying NCL-FAO on easyjet a couple of days later to meet them.
Basically I’m looking for suggestions on where to sit as I’ll be travelling alone. Am I right in thinking it’s a 6 across layout? I imagine the flight will be pretty full and I don’t really want to be stuck in the middle of two people. I ended up like that on a flight from CDG-LAX and it wasn’t that fun.
Anyone have any suggestions/strategies they recommend?
Fozi,
As a seasoned weekly Easyjet customer (my wife even bought me shares in the company for my birthday), I can only suggest 2 things to ensure you get a good seat on the aircraft, 1. turn up early to book in, seats 1-30 or boarding group A is the best (I am unsure if they work the boarding group routine at NCL) and 2. If you have the option for Speedy Boarding which will get you to the front of the Queue. A word of caution though, if the aircraft is parked at a remote stand and you have to board a bus to get to the aircraft, the speedy boarding option is blown out of the water as it then becomes a free for all whhen the bus doors open at the aircraft……if you want leg room, sit at the emergency exits over the wing or at the front row of the aircraft……good luck. Oh and yes it is 3 abreast (6 across) and the aircraft will be a 737-700.
And can I add a supplementary question re: booking Easyjet…?
Is anyone aware of a best time to book, regarding getting the best prices ?
I remember someone recommending around two months ahead for long haul which seemed to work for me. Anyone found a similar thing with Easyjet ? I plan to go from Glasgow to Alicante in August btw…
Renfrew,
Simple mate…earlier you book, the cheaper the cost. Also try to pick an unusual time to travel..mid week is usually much cheaper than Friday / Saturday. Good Luck.

Great to see your work back on the forum, the JET2 (my kinda shot!) and the Onur Airbus are my favourites.

Cool, did not know there where still BAC111s and Andovers flying around. Or do these no longer fly?
tenth, these aircraft are still flying (at least 2 sorties a day) with no sign of retirement yet. They are used by the Test Pilots School to give students a bit of good old seat of the pants multi engine handling experience.

Good set Lance, nice to see the 748 getting a new lease of life! Were the Islander shots taken on a Sunday, if so I am shocked as the AAC usually don’t do weekends…….only kidding lads! Someday they will grow up to be Fleet Air Arm Pilots!

Phil,
Stunning shots mate, just love your work…I see they had a runway change while you were there. Love the last 319 shot by the way! Did you see the work flow thread that was posted a while back, I would be interested to know what your processing flow is?

I believe European leased the jet to Oz Jet last year, not sure why it is still in Oz colours, must admit it looks better than the standard white European scheme.

Nice to see the shed……I served my apprenticeship building the ugly bruts at Shorts, love that plane.
Seeing the Brunei 763 may become a thing of the past at LHR when they introduce the T7 in the next few months.
Keep on travelling….
