Aircraft shots itself down
The one to top it all is an aircraft that shot itself down. It’s been along time since I saw the article maybe in Air Progress Magazine. I believe it was a F11F that fired some machine gun’s and then ran into it’s own bullets.
Secondly.
I heard about a L-4 that got credit for downing a Bf 109. He didn’t shot it down but out flew the other aircraft.

I believe it’s the latest attempt to produce the “Lasta” trainer

Banshee post #410 with the Dominican Beech Duchess. I believed its a promo by Beech in the 70s. They had a flying club with a roundel looking markings. Mostly on Musketeers. A close look at the roundel will show its not Dominican.

Bahrain Police Aircraft
Thanks for the pix of the Bahrain Scout Police in color. That aircraft has been around many years in magazine.

still working on getting my website back up. http://www.worldairforces.com
I own the site and having problems with the server host. I got a receipt saying I had paid for the service. The next thing I know it’s down. Have asked them about that but no reply yet. I haven’t been keeping it updated as have been working on project with pixs of each aircraft. My email was hijacked and have been trying to straighten it out. Eventually will get it worked out. I also have moved from Guam to Honolulu and that has put everything back for awhile till I get into a house.

I would assume the Czech Mi-17 in white paint are going into UN service in Angola. Check the UN thread to see UN paint schemes.

Thanks Banshee
I have checked with my service provider and we are working on the problem. So hopefully will be resolved in the near future. They just sent me a receipt for the website to keep current so I don’t know what the problem is yet. I usually don’t visit the website so thanks for letting me know.
I have updated the website but haven’t uploaded it yet. If you downloaded the Sudan PDF file. That is what I’ve been working on the last few years and haven’t bothered with the website upload. I’ve done all the AF’s of the world except Russia, Great Britain, US (AF,Navy,Army), and pre 45 Germany. Working now on France but with the move from Guam to Hawaii my library will be out of commision till I get back in a house around the turn of the year. I can put up the data part but the pixs with many thousands done from books, magazines and website espically this one. Don’t have permission to use so can only use as personal scrapbook.
Thanks Again

What’s real and not real?
I’m a 25,000+ pilot yet I’ve had one person on the web/email YELLING at me saying I wasn’t a pilot.
I’ve only flown for airlines that even you experts have never heard of.
On another forum Air Warfare. I asked an expert about a certain version of an aircraft. He said there never was. Turns out there was “that version”. Another example in my lists I stated a country had used a UTVA light aircraft. My expert told me they didn’t. He than talked to someone who had flown for that air force. Turns out they did use the UTVA aircraft. This was a country in SE Asia. Even I was surprised they had used it.
In the early 80s Air Florida crashed at National Airport. The media/experts said that was the last fatal crash at National since 1947. WRONG. The last fatal crash was 2 freight dogs in a Skyvan in the duck pond at the end of the runway. Even closer to the airport than Air Florida at the 14th bridge.
It was the Skyvans Captains last night with them (in more ways than one) and the copilots 1st night. The Captain of the Air Florida deserved to die (He was an idiot) but the people in the back didn’t. I was working on the airport at the time. I later flew for that airline. International Air Cargo.
On my website I’ve had people ask me why I include second line aircraft. They only want to hear about 1st line aircraft. People are only interested in Major airlines not the airlines I fly for. People have a hard time understanding not everyone flies a brand new Raptor.
I was flying at 35,000 one day reading my email and someone stated on the web this aircraft was mothballed. I sent him a email saying that aircraft was still flying.
As far a pilots go a friend recently got on with a “real airline” back in the states and as a copilot on landing (in a Airbus 320) decided to disengage the autopilot and actually fly the aircraft to a landing. The capt. freaked out. What are you doing. Which is why I like fly aircraft that you actually get to fly. Which is why I’m in this business.
So let’s give everyone a chance because nobody knows everything and even the experts can be wrong.

from post #1607 by cy24driver1 the last pix is a Alouette III on floats who’s is that. If you figure everyone can figure it out by colors. I’m partially color blind and can’t tell. Plus it not labels other than attachment.

Speaking of Buffalo’s has anyone seen a pix of the Chilean AF Buffalo s/n 920. I heard it was destroyed shortly after arrival. So not much time to get photographed.
