I would like to see some pixs of the impressed Lears if anyone has them.
Thanks
Chris
My records say they impressed 6 Lears during the war. a 24, 35 #4, 36. Too go with their 35’s they already had. I haven’t ever seen any pixs of the impressed aircraft. So don’t know it they modified any of them.

I have another pix of the Lux. Piper Cub in B&W showing right side but not the wing markings. In the Air-Britain “Piper Aircraft” 1987 edition by Peperell & Smith. I can’t scan in currently as am in the process of moving to new base in Honolulu HI.

Sometimes proof is taken by people as seeing it in print. Which is why I’ve tried to show my proof. Where I found it, serial numbers, illustration or pix’s. Someone from UK see’s a Harvard someone from US see’s a T-6/Texan. When I’m out flying a controller calls “follow the Boeing 717” now being a historian I look for a KC-135 but I know their talking about a DC-9-717. Which is what you probably would find on the mfg. plate in the aircraft.

“except for french-made M.H.1521 Broussard. Can anyone provide me with photo of this plane in SAAF marking?”
Where did you find info they used (South Arabian Federal AF). I’ve seen Broussard book and didn’t have any info on them using it.

Could someone have painted one up for a movie?

I think the Dauphin is Saudi? and the last pix is an old one of Egyptian MiG-17.

Bronco post #25 where did you find info that Burma/Mynamar has operated Islander? I’ve never heard any thing that they have used one. World Air Forces 2006/7 doesn’t have any reference to it either.

I have reference to their use of the HAL Chetak any pixs? I haven’t found any info on them no s/n’s or pixs yet. Some of the listed aircraft now long out of use. A complete list can be found on my site http://www.worldairforces.com Also found on Sri Lanka website they used Slingsby Kirby Cadet and Type 21 Sedburgh training gliders and a AF built ultralight Jayasinghe.
